The F12 Boot Menu allows you to choose which device that you would like to boot the computer's Operating System from by pressing the F12 key during the computer's Power On Self Test, or POST process. Some notebook and netbook models have the F12 Boot Menu disabled by default.

To enable the F12 Boot Menu:

1. Restart the computer.
2. Press the F2 key to enter computer's BIOS Setup during Power-On Self-Test, or POST, process while the Acer logo is being displayed.
3. Press the Right Arrow key to select Main

5. Press the Enter key
6. Select Enabled
7. Press the Enter key
8. Press the F10 key and then press the Enter key to save the changes and restart the computer.

The code F12 means the following:

F12 - No mixed fill. It is likely that the water is not turned on at the taps.

Also Error code F12 is indicating a communications error between cards; Error code F12 is indicating a communications error between cards, this can be caused by one of several things. A problem with bad connections, if you can remove and then replace the plug on connectors, check for loose or chafed wires to motor, they can chafe due to tightness of wires, particularly down to the motor.
It is an electrical problem as opposed to a mechanical one.

Its normally on the top left of the key board
mine is on the F12 key

sometimes we have to press FN+F12 if the F12 dont work on its own

install windows 7 ok i like to change boot formate f12 when asked in begining push f2 then change boot format to f12 then f10 exsept then restart computer put windows push f12 run windows under d: drive.

F12 means no communicastion between boards.
Check all connections and wiring between the boards.
