SOURCE: Faint vertical lines on Samsung ML-2010

Was the toner remanufactured/ compatible?
Sounds to me like the doctor blade in the cartridge is 'gummed' up and not allowing the toner to flow evenly across the Developer roller......try another cartridge

SOURCE: Samsung LN-S4692D - Vertical lines (>15) & static on screen

this sounds like a scan board gone ,, if you check ebay youll see two things,
1, other tvs for sale with the same fault (It might give you a clue to the fault ie , which board )
2, the same tv as yours with a broken screen ,

i dont know how good you are with taking things to bits but i personally would buy the tv with the broken screen and start swapping over the internal boards ?

Have you checked your home insurance policy for broken tv,s
it may have fell of its stand when you were'nt looking?

Make sure you have in on the right input mode.If you are not recieving anythingat all, then you could have a bad AD board, or bad inverter.

I have a samsung syncmaster 204bw and sometimes the monitor flashes black for a couple seconds and then comes back on. it will do it and then wont for awhile.

This is an early warning that the inverter board is failing, "powers the back lights behind the screen" eventually it will go. The board must be replaced or repaired.

Does it do the same with another PC?
If it is monitor, then please read below

If you are going to DIY and already try the monitor with another PC, and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on:
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed SAMSUNG monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/

KDS K22WDb Monitor with white screen

Hello,

There are some brands of caps that will blown with no visible damage, also some will blown out the bottom so you can't see the damage. I would replace the caps in the power supply all except for the 1 very big cap on the input side. I would be that this fixes the problem you are having.

42'' Samsung Plasma Tv Screen went black but the sound works.

Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.
http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.
