Question about KDS K226WDB Monitor

KDS K22WDb Monitor with white screen

I have a similar problem. When powered on, the screen is mostly white, with the picture slightly visible around the edges. Over the course of a second or two, the white grows to fill in the entire screen. I just tore this thing apart and I see that the power inverter (i think?) is blackened on the top (tan) side. Part is: Mirage Electronics Co., PI-190DTLB REV:A. Currently trying to find one on to replace it now. All caps appear intact, so I'm assuming I need to replace the entire board.

Hello,

There are some brands of caps that will blown with no visible damage, also some will blown out the bottom so you can't see the damage. I would replace the caps in the power supply all except for the 1 very big cap on the input side. I would be that this fixes the problem you are having.

Yes, this is a cap problem. Same monitor, white screen. Take apart, can snap front off after screws on bottom. You will see top buldging caps on the power supply board. Replace and all will be fine. Just did this. ort11

Adjust the brightness until it starts making the black in the picture slightly milks and back it off slightly
Adjust the contrast so that the whitest whites show detail, too much contrast and they disappear
Adjust colour to suit, start with it half way, look at flesh tones on a news reader as a guide and adjust sharpness so you can see detail but not so that there are false or visible edges around things

I just reconnected my kds monitor and it does not come on I only have one cord and it connects to the computer should there be another power connection. Don't know where my skematic for this monitor...

you can get the support information on the monitor from KDS here
All monitors have at least 2 connections, 1 power and 1 data cable (Some have multiple data input options all have at least 1)
In most cases the power is a standard 3 pin PC outlet cable (Same cable as a desktop computer uses) some more compact designs us an AC adapter and DC input similar to a portable computer.
If you post the exact model I can post a more exact answer

Hitachi 50v500, we just put in a new lamp, now the picture on the screen is slightly doubled, what do I do?

Here is what I suggest----look at lettering and or put the mode to 4X3 which is smaller left and right.

Look at the edges of that picture or lettering on screen---this model sometimes has a ghosting where images have a slight shadow, like with rabbit ears.

If this is the case there is a way with the remote to CORRECT IT.

I have the information--confirm if slight ghosting around letters--it can be white or any color.

I have seen this before.

Kds model 780 monitor no signal, power button does not work

My monitor does the same thing at times and sometimes shows "No Signal" and at other times the screen will maintain the images but the backgound color switches to mustard yellow. In each of these cases I have been able to solve the problem by unplugging the power cord from the electical outlet for about three seconds and plugging it back in. I have a KDS model 780 LCD.
