I don't have my user name and password for my wireless network and need it to connect a wireless printer

If you have the CD that comes with the adapter then you can try uninstall Linksys software and install only the drivers of the adapter.

Remove the Linksys Adapter and un-install the Linksys Software from Programs menu. To re-install the Drivers insert the Linksys Setup CD into your CD-ROM drive. When the Welcome screen appears click Exit. Connect your USB adapter to the computer. When the Found new Hardware Wizard window appears, click Install the software automatically (Recommended) then click Next. Click Finish when the installation is complete.Try to connect to the wireless network again. See if that works. You can also download the latest drivers from Linksys website on any other computer. Save it on a Flash drive and transfer the drivers on your computer.

Describe your Linksys 2.4 GHz 802.11b Wireless - B PCI Adapter Problem where is the network key locaded

The network key is actually programmed into the wireless access point you are trying to connect to. You need you provide your network connection with that code in order for the adapter to get permission to connect to the router.

Unless you are connecting to an unsecured connection - then you don't need a key at all.

I have defined 2 networks, one for the G and the other for the N channel, only the one for the G gets connected

You have WRT610N dual band router . it works on both 2.4 GHz and 5 Ghx bands at the same time.
Both the bands are N bands.
2.4 GHz and 5 GHz band are capable of working on N signals.
Now on your computer you are able to see only the 2.4 GHz signals but not the 5 GHz signals.
To see the wireless signal on the computer , your computer should have 5 GHz compatible wireless adapter.
If you have 2.4 GHZ adapter on your computer then you won't be able to connect to the 5 Ghz signal.
Open the Device manager and under network adapters you will see the wireless adapter. Check if it is dual band wireless adapter.

Linksys Wireless-G 2.4 GHZ two computers distribution of Mbps

unfortunately wireless is slower. i wouldn't worry though as 100mps is what windows always says but this itself is not accurate as your isp is probably even less than 18 mbps.
