How to create vlan

Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) technology logically divides a physical LAN into multiple broadcast domains, each of which is called a VLAN. Each VLAN functions as a separate broadcast domain, with devices in the same VLAN able to directly communicate with one another, while those in different VLANs cannot. As a result, broadcast packets are confined within a single VLAN.

My linksys wrt54g router isn't working right. I

If you mean not connecting to the internet. It could be because of incorrect internet settings or possibly the router was reset to factory default settings. If that's the case then all you need to do is access the router's user interface from any device connected to the router's network whether via wired or wireless connection, from any web browser by typing the default router's IP address which is 192.168.1.1, and you'll be prompted to enter the username and password which should be "admin" for both by default. in case you're unable to access the page for an incorrect password then you need to reset and reconfigure the router again. If you're unable to access an incorrect router address, try to check the router's IP address eg: if you're running Windows you can go running and type "cmd" go to command prompt and then type "ipconfig" you should be able to get the IP address default gateway (Either for WiFi or Ethernet, whatever you're connected to) which should be the router's IP address.Once you access the router's user interference you can contact your service provider and double-check the internet settings with them.If your device is not powering on it could be because of a faulty power adapter or maybe the device itself is bricked.Well, you may have such kind of problem with your Linksys router and we have a simple solution for fixing these problems.make sure your modem is properly connected to the router.power cycle your router and modem.once you will power cycle your devices, then you need to go ahead and reboot your router and modem.press and hold the factory restore button on your router for one minute and reboot your router again. now this will start working fine. if it is still not working then you may visit at Linksys router troubleshooting problems.

How to Fix Linksys Router Error 2118?

This seems to be a symptom of a configuration error, which can be fixed by resetting the router to factory default. Do this by finding the (often partially hidden) reset button on the device, and pressing and holding down the button, with the power on, till lights start flashing on the router. Let go of the button and allow the router to reset (can take a minute or two). You will now have reset the router to factory default. To connect to your ISP, you'll need to enter your account details (and any other specific information) provided to you by your ISP. You will also have to set a name and password for the wifi section of your router (if it has wifi) if you don't want it to be freely accessible by everyone within wifi range.
