This printer is not network ready, meaning that if you want to use it on a network you will have to attach it to a PC/laptop that is on a network. there you can make it shareable and allow others network PCs/laptops to use this through the network. A network able printer does not need a PC/laptop to be on the network.

Depends ... is your wireless printer able to see your wireless computer? I have a wireless computer that does print directly to a wireless printer, but Im not sure this is universal technology.

Here is the deal, if your printer is a true stand alone wireless no, you dont need a wireless router.

How do you tell? Can you load the software for your printer onto your computer and as a result have the printer show up on your computer?

Need router number

First, see if you can access the diagnostics on your wireless router as the administrator, so you can change things if you want. Usually, this is done through a wired connected computer to the router. Most routers have the IP address access of 192.168.0.1 to get in there.
From that point, you want to look for the wireless (WAN) settings for the router, and you may either specify the IP, or make it auto-connect. Either way, make sure you have some sort of wireless encryption security, with a secure password you set-up.
On your printer, you will probably have to specify the router IP, and make sure it auto-connects IP on the printer (unless you prefer to specify it). You'll also need the encryption password to establish the initial connection.
Some newer printers and routers have a button that can be pressed to make connecting them easier. However, you may still want to make sure you have good encryption on your wireless router. Many people make this common mistake, and end up losing a lot of valuable information and unknowingly give out their account numbers, passwords, etc.
Move cautiously with wireless connections, and always make them secure.

I need to set up my wireless router to my epson 520 all-in-one printer system. I have lost the password to the router (passphrase). Ineed to get it setup. help!

This solution requires a PC running Windows 7 that is already able to connect to the same network that you would like your printer to use.

Depending on how your system works, you could try right-clicking the icon on the bottom right that indicates your wireless connection. Choose "Open Network and Sharing Center" and then "Manage Wireless Networks". From there, choose your own wireless network from the list, right click it, and select "Properties". Another window should pop up. Go to the "Security" tab. From there, you should see "Network security key" with a few asterisks next to it. Directly below, check the "Show Characters" box and the asterisks will turn into whatever password your computer uses to automatically connect to your internet when it picks up your network.

----------

Solution #2

If the above doesn't work, you can always call your internet provider and ask them to reset the password on your router. Keep in mind, however, that if your password is reset, you will have to go and enter the new password into all other computers/devices that connect to your WiFi.

Ineed to access the router to lock it

To connect to your wireless router, it needs the router’s wireless settings configured and also needs the wireless cards in all the laptops and or computers to be configured with the router’s wireless settings. Then the laptops and desktop computers can communicate with your wireless router.

To set-up and secure the wireless router from unauthorized access, follow these steps: -
1. Connect the wireless router to your computer with a LAN cable.
2. Start your browser and enter the router's configuration URL IP address. (http://192.168.1.1)
3. Enter the router setup, login and password (default Login = admin

and default PW = admin unless you have already changes it)
4. Change the admin password
5. Go to the wireless settings and change the default SSID and turn off SSID broadcast.
6. Setup encryption key the strongest is WPA2 (if not then WPA).
7. For further security measures - turn on MAC address filtering and enter the MAC address of the wireless cards on the computer/s you want to connect to this wireless router.
8. Record the settings you have made and keep it in a safe place and Save the settings.
9. Configure the wireless cards on the computer/s with the SSID and encryption settings of the router.
10. Remove the LAN cable between the router and the computer then the computers should be able to connect to the router wirelessly.

Printer Setup & Support Number Call 1-8O5-225-669O We are 24 Hour Available Call Now,

You should only need one wireless router for everything. The purpose of the router is to "route" multiple devices together. Your set-up should be something like this:

Modem connected to wireless router via Ethernet cable.
Wireless router broadcasting wireless internet connection.
Computer(s) connected to wireless router via cable or wireless adapter.
Computer with network printer sharing enabled.
Turn on wireless printer.
You should be able to detect the printer via Windows.
