Have you tried to go online to the windows update? Go there and choose custom install after the scan, then click on the optional upgrades and look for a graphics upgrade and choose install, windows will download and install the new driver....actually, while you are in there let windows get all the hardware updates that are available.
This tutorial will guide you safely through the process. You use the device manager (see here and here) to see what driver is currently installed, and go to your computer manufacturer's website (support>drivers & downloads) or the graphic card mfr's site to download updated drivers.
I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread. If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!
If you would have listed the model & manufacture of your graphics card or if the graphics card is built into the board the (Model number of the motherboard) Or if the graphics card has been added to your system, (The name of card & model number). Finding an answer for your problem would go a bit faster & be more accurate. If your graphics card is built into your motherboard or if the graphics card is installed into an AGP/PCI or PCI-E port, you'll need to uninstall your graphics driver software. The error message you posted; (Your display driver created a problem). One or more driver files are most likely corrupt. To correct this you will need to open windows control panel. Than open the icon, Add/Remove programs. Find your graphics driver software & uninstall it. After which windows will want to restart. (Do so). When windows finishes loading re-install the driver software for your graphics card. (Your graphics driver software should be on a CD). Than restart windows, even if windows does not ask you too. When windows finishes loading again. Load windows update service. Click the start button, slide your mouse to All Programs, than slide to & click on Windows update. Install any updates windows finds. (Do not install windows explorer version 8.0) Too many bugs in version 8.0. While on windows update site look to the left. If you see that windows also has hardware updates, include these in the update process. (Restart your system when downloading is finished or if windows request it). Lastly, before you try playing a game download & run this free program named RegCure. (This program will clean your system from left over junk& non needed files). Click on the link below to download RegCure; http://www.pctuneuptips.com/recommends/clean/?gclid=CL2RiIrTmpICFSFMGgodODIPzg
If you still receive en error message or if your game locks up/ freezes, provide the information I mentioned above so I can better help find a fix.
hi!
you don't need to update the driver cause the problem is in your hardware. Graphic seems to be a bit grounded, try cleaning the contact pins of your AGP graphic card with eraser, clean it side by side and then put it back again to an AGP slot, then boot your CPU again. If it still the same, try it in another motherboard that support you graphic card just to be sure before we conclude that its the graphic card has the problem. Anyway if it still under warranty you can claim for a replacement to the store where you bought the graphic card.
Have a nice day!
Flagged in the Device drivers. I need the updated driver for win7.
