My hitachi tv keep turning off after 5 minuted of

My hitachi 55fx20b projection tv keep turning off after 5 minutes of being on what is the problem and how much is it going to cost me to fix it?

I just got done putting my panasonic 50 projection back together. There is a thermal cut off relay on top of your bulb box, can normally be seen after removing the back of the tv. With the tv unplugged make sure the area around this relay is clean of dust. If the simple fix dosn't work make sure your cooling fan is coming on with the tv.

Hi, Your tv is start to spoiled. But it is quite normal if your tv is back to normal after about 5 minutes. If after 5 minutes the screen stranger background still persist, unplug your power chord. This will totally cut the power supply for your tv.

The projection lamp has not been change in this tv the last 1/2 or 2 years?The tv on an used watches 4 or 5 hours of tv a day?Yes,than the projection lamp life is over.Require a new projection lamp.

I have a hitachi 55fx20b and the front screen is cracked in several places. It works awesome but depending on the angle you are sitting you can see the cracks. Can I buy a replacement screen?

TV always has high voltage shock risk while repair. As you said you are not familiar with TV repair so better to handle repair person this issue.
