Try resetting the device it?s usually a small pinhole on the back or side of the device try holding that in for about 10 seconds or Try reflashing the firmware for your device you can find the latest firmware and flashing utilities from the manufacturer?s website. Make sure that you back your music up first because when you do this you are setting it back to factory settings. then us: If you have a large playlist to transfer, you may prefer to do it from your media player, such as Windows Media Player. Once your MP3 player is connected to the computer, open Windows Media Player. Click on the "Sync Music" tab. Drag songs that you want from your Windows Media Library over to the "Sync Music" column to create a playlist. Click the "Begin Sync" tab at the bottom once you have all of the songs on your playlist. This action will sync all of the songs to your MP3 player with one click. Disconnect your device once songs have been transferred by clicking on the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in the bottom-right side of the desktop tray.

Sony NW-A3000

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware.

Sonic stage freezes when trying to delete files when trying to delete files using sonic stage the program frezes and will not allow me to delete any files from my walkman

If you haven't installed the latest version of SonicStage - v4.3, uninstall your version and install it from here: http://www.sonydigital-link.com/DNA/sonicstage/sstage_dl.asp?l=en&c=WM&sc=NWH&m=NW-A3000 If it still continues to lock up, I think that it's an issue with the database on the device. The easiest way to remedy this would be to initialise the disk and copy your music over again. To reinitialise the disk, go to the home menu, choose settings in the bottom left, go up once to "Initialize Disk" and select it, then select yes to proceed.

When i plug in usb cable for my a3000 player, the error code 82040008 appears, saying that a3000 can´t work

All I can suggest is that you go to the sony website and first go to the download page for sonicstage cp. There is a link to update your firmware to 3.0. After doing that, if you arent already using it, download sonicstage cp from there and use that instead of connect or old sonicstage. That will probably sort you out.

Sony NW A3000 Walkman

Follow these steps- - Open the Sony Walkman from "My Computer". - Open the folder inside, then delete all the "DAT" files. - Open the second foler which is inside the first foler and delete all these files. - Close that and then open up "SonicStage" - Now delete all the files from your library, but, DO NOT delete them from your computer. - Now import all the songs again and it should pick up the device and start to transfer with no problems. I have done this with my Sony Walkman and it now works. If you experiance more problems contact me at [email protected]

Sony Nwa3000 appears dead??

First things first-have you pressed the reset button on the bottom of the unit? Secondly- try updating the firmware on your unit the manual way - Go to this link. http://www.sony.co.uk/view/ShowArticle.action?section=en_GB_Products&articlesection=1&article=1154694485490&productcategory=%2FAudio%2FNetwork+Walkman&productmodel=%2FAudio%2FNetwork+Walkman%2FNW-A3000&productsku=NWA3000B.CEK&site=odw_en_GB Go to download the latest version of Sonicstage but dont actually do it. At some point there is a link to update your firmware to version 3.0. Try doing this again, going through the update procedure it suggests, even if you already have 3.0 installed. This might work. Worth a try at least!
