Request scanning from Mac comp. to HP Officejet 7410 All-in-One

I have a HP Officejet 7410 All-in-One Printer connected with a MAC computer running under Mac OS X 10.6.1 through a Time Capsule by means of a Ethernet cable.
I don't know how to find the utility/icon to place on the Dock in order to do scanning to a pdf file or iPhoto, etc. from my computer.
This is very easy to solve, but I don't know how to do it.

Hi! I will be glad to assist you in this issue.
Changing scan settings in HP Device Manager in Mac OS X
1.Launch HP Device Manager.
2.Click Information and Settings , and then select Scan Preferences from the drop-down list.
3.Make a selection from the available list and then click OK .
4.Click Scan Picture or Scan Document to scan with the changed settings.

SOURCE: HP officejet 7410 all-in-one printer compatibility with Windows 7

Read the last comment on this blog about your printer. At the time that model was manufactured, Windows 7 was not apparantly listed or verified. I think they have updated their drivers, so update your drivers per the blog instructions. Good luck, hope this works for you!

Scanning multiple pages as a single document

The pages you scan in are each individual "pictures" which are very different than the text in the everyday word processing file. What you can do is to make a new word processing document and insert each of the scanned pictures into this new document in order. This will allow you to print all the pages in one job by printing the word processing document. As far as I know there is no way to scan all of the pages into one single file.
