Moonshell 2 doesn't work on my hyper-r4i. How can i fix this?

You should not use that version of the moon shell. Use this stable version. Multi Media Software - MoonShell 1.71 . To open this, right click, open on new window and your download will start!

It could be that you lack the compatibility for the newest games. You might need to update your software, but the R4 Hyper is an old card that doesn't get regular updates.
You might have to get used to not being able to play the latest games unless you get a new card that does have regular updates from the manufacturer like the <a href="http://www.dscardworld.com">R4i SDHC</a>

The Hyper R4i is a fairly unreliable clone, it might have reached the end of its life unfortunately.

I went with the iEdge it's rock solid and has never given me problems in 6 months since I got it. If you're looking to get genuine cards for your ds (there are fakes out there), take a look here, http://www.dscardworld.com.

You just store the music files in a folder on the micro sd card. But you'll need to get a homebrew called Moonshell to open the music files. I got an iEdge card and its got moonshell integrated into the menu.

1.get moonshell
just type in google moonshell 

Currently r4i doesnt have a fix for this. I would suggest getting an acekard 2i or hyper r4i.
The way the fixed this issue was to rename the card.
Most fixes show the card as (Danny Phantom) after the patch has been applied.

It's because the newest firmware blocks the R4i card, next time use google a bit more before you do a firmware update, you need to buy the
newest R4i card, the newest moddel of that flash card works again with the newest firmware.

Tip: Buy the Hyper-R4i card instead of the R4i because the hyper-r4i has
a reprogammable chip, you don't have to buy every time a new flash card, you just have to update the chip on the flashcard to bypass anny protection.

Go to http://www.hyper4i.com/

Download there the wright kernel and the newest firmware for your hyper R4i.

Delete on the memory card, downlisted folders and files.

Put the new kernel files from the archive to the memory card and from the other archive de nds rom that contains the new firmware.
Boot using the new kernel and run first the new firmware rom, turn off the ds when it tells you to do so, this makes the Hyper R4i working on DSi's with firmware version v1.4.

Delete the firmware rom from your memory card because you won't need it anymore.

The Hyper R4i should now work as it should.

Note that the SAVE folder contains your safed games, if there are still problems, try to delete this folder to.
