Does the lx-1242 support postscript printing

I have searched the internet using https://www.google.com and have not locate that model.

Could it be an Epson dot matrix printer?

Is it some other type of computer equipment?

Converting postscript in documents to Adobe and printing them as PDF files might support postscript but might not provide satisfactory quality.

My SHARP AR-M276 Printer keeps displaying PageError: PostScript printing not licensed for this printer, after downloading and installing the driver. How can I rectify this?

PS license is sold separately as an option for the Sharp Copier. You can contact your Authorized dealer. Or use a PCL6 or PCL4 Driver. If you are having issue printing from a mac then depending on the version you will need postscript, or an aftermarket PCL generic Driver made for macs.

Whe i boot up my printer it automaticaly prints out one label with leters on the top left corner and after that every other label i print out comes out with those leters can some one help me asap ...i need...

Sounds like a driver issue that is adding extra characters into the print script. Make sure your printer supports PostScript or PCL. PCL is the most common and works with all printer. PostScript requires a PostScript Chip installed in the printer. Download the latest driver either from the Printronix website or CNET.com

A sheet prints sometimes with this: ERROR: syntaxerror OFFENDING COMMAND STACK: In one flow we get this error and in other flow it works fine. Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.

This is a Postscript error. You may be using a Postscript driver on the printer. Or else you are printing PDFs which are not true Postscript. likely made by a postscript "compatible" software.

Try loading a PCL driver for the printer. This will work just as well if not better than a postscript driver. You may find it faster.

Check lexmark website under support andd downloads for an alternative driver for the printer, also considering your operating system.

If you are printing PDFs or postscript files, the PCL driver may help there also.

Prints PDF documents VERY slowly (4-5) per page

The actual issue you will find that its not so much the actual printing part of the process that is slow, its actually the spooling to the printer that takes the time.
Does your printer support PostScript printing ? (PostScript is a printing & imaging standard used by many printers) To find out if your printer does indeed support this either refer to your manufacturers documentation or perform a test page and look to see if you have a PostScript enabled option.
If your printer does support PostScript, make sure you are using its PostScript printer driver, most of the time we generally use PCL drivers, so simply change this.

Regards....
If you find your printer does not support PostScript there are a few other tweaks we can implement to increase printing speed.

Firstly we can force PDF files to be printed as graphics as opposed to text, to do this launch your chosen PDF viewer, select Print > Advanced > Print as image
Lower the print resolution, if we lower the print resolution most of the time the difference is very small, but it can reduce the actual print size of the document by up to 300%, which can greatly decrease printing times.
Make sure you are using the latest version of any print drivers or your chosen PDF printing program, normally Adobe Acrobat.
If the printer only has a small amount of memory if possible add more, if possible install a PostScript SIMM.
Check the amount of ram your computer currently has, check memory usage from task manager when printing to ascertain usage

Can't create a pdf file in Quark Xpress 6.5

One application I know that could do the same function is CutePDF. You may download and install it for FREE over the internet. Once you successfully install this, PDF conversion will as simple as if you are printing a hardcopy.

The printer Lexmark C532c is not printing.

Try using the PCL driver or select the "Disable Postscript Passthrough" under

Printing Preferences->Other Options->More Options->Postscript

Lexmark T642: Will not print text files in Linux

Sounds like there is something corrupt with the driver or the wrong driver is associated with the printer. Delete the printer from the computer, but leave attached. Download the newest driver directly from Lexmark and execute the download. The computer should then automatically re-install the printer.

please visit the link below to download the correct driver for your printer directly from Lexmark.
