An ip address would be the company website your getting your internet from like www.netscape.com or whatever company you use. your username is your email address you have with the company and your password is what ever word you put into your computer to prove it is you loging into your account.

I would not post your ip address to either of these online. someone with a small amount of routing skill could cause some damage with that info. just saying. i have no answer to you question just trying to help you otherwise.

Can't get internet on ps3

Okay, i'll see if i know what we're talking about here. There are a couple of things you could try. For one, try logging into your router, (usually at 192.168.0.1 and looking in the Client or Address lists for a PS3, or whatever you have named it, and then see if you can either disconnect or renew it. Then, redo the whole WiFi setup on the PS3 setting all the settings as you would but leave the IP settings as they are (should be Auto). If that still doesn't work, go into the PS3's connection settings and manually set an IP address. My suggestion is to use the same address as an already connected (and working computer), but change the last number. Whatever you do, make sure there are not two of the same IP address on the router. Hope this helps...

How to?

The Ethernet port works with PS2 Games that are setup for Online play. This Port allows for Online plays with the PS2. If should not be that complicated when you have a online game loaded.

Trying to get online

Check if you are getting an ip address...there is a possibility that eventhough you are connected you are not getting a valid ip address. Are you trying to connect to the same network or same SSID?

Won't let me connect to PlayStation 2 online

no need to turn off the router's firewall... just forward the ps2 port number on the router. make sure you manually assign static ip address to your ps2.

HELP

If the game you'er playing on PSP requires opening a certain port then access the setup page of the router by going to 192.168.2.1. Go to and place the port number of the game and enter the IP address of your PS3. You may also set the PS3 to DMZ if you know the IP address of your PS3.

Or call the toll-free Supportrix Tech Support at 1-877-787-8749 and give "support call" as promo code for one free technical support call.

My ps3 will not connect to my wireless internet

Try setting a static ip address on the PS3:-

First you need to find a Windows wired or wireless device already connected to the network in order to find out the required settings

Windows XP
1. Click start --> (sometimes settings) --> Control Panel --> Network Connections
2. Double click on the active connection which will say connected underneath
3. Click Support
4. Click Details
5. Now the IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, Primary DNS and Alternate DNS which are displayed should be noted.

Windows Vista
1. Click Start --> Control Panel --> Network and Sharing Center
2. Click on "View Status" to the right of your connection
4. Click Details
5. Now the IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, Primary DNS and Alternate DNS which are displayed should be noted.

Set these values under "manual settings" in the PS3 but add 1 to the last number for the IP Address as this has to be unique on your network

Need help!!!!!!!!!

There should be a setup disk that came with the network adapter.

Put that in, and it's a simple walk-through.

If you don't have it, then Madden 08 has an automatic connection sequence, just go online with it, and it should do it all for you.

If you have a cable connection (Cable Broadband), then its going to DHCP connection (or automatic) If it's DSL, then you may have a static IP address, and you may want to contact your ISP for further help. You would need to manually assign an IP address to your PS2.

If you have it set up correctly, and its a cable modem you've got, then you may want to reboot everything.

Unplug power to the modem and router and also make sure the PS2 is off.

Plug modem back in, then router, and turn PS2 and try connecting agian.
