Feature button stays illumated

We have the DTERM phones without the display screen. On one of the phones, without trying, the "feature" light started flashing, and now when she goes to answer the phone, she has to press the line that is ringing to answer it.

How do we turn off the "feature" light?

I push the feature button it turns red as soon as i enter the phone number the light goes out press feature and does not program

Why are you pressing the feature button?

Press feature then answer. You envoked ringing line pick up.
Press feature then speed dial button, dial a number like your dialing out, then feature again. You've just set a speed dial button.
Press feature, then 3 and you've changed your ringtone on a series i phone.

Deactivating Do Not Disturb command

I loosely followed Solution #2's answer. If you pick up the phone, the display screen will show options above each of the 4 'arrow' buttons. The one to the far right, for me anyway, showed something looking like this: >>>

I hit it and it showed a number of options, one being "DND". Hitting that deactivated (or activated) DND on the phone I was currently on. That solved the problem for me.

Nec DTerm Series i - Feature Light Flashing URGENT

Thankfully I have found a solution that has worked.

A 'winking' (flashing) feature button indicates the station is in call forward - all calls mode.

To cancel this setting do the following

Lift the handset or press speaker
Dial the access code 4 + 2 (set as default)
Receive confirmation tone and restore handset or press speaker

I have found the manual at the following link to be the best resrouce ever - very easy to understand

NEC DTERM SERIESI

You may be right about it coming from another extension! If that is the case you need to return the message by pressing the key, finding out what extension is ringing and answer the phone otherwise the message will never be returned and the message light will stay on.

Quite an annoying feature with many phone systems. Nobody ever uses the feature and people have no idea what's happening when someone else accidentally presses the wrong key at the wrong time.
