ROCKFORD FOSGATE X7a Amp, I need compatiable remote control knob.

I purchased a used ROCKFORD FOSGATE X7a Amplifier. It did not come with the remote base control knob. The connection on the amp itself looks exactly like a RJ-45 input. I see RF has a stand alone remote control bass knob, but on the package it says compatible with 2007 RF amps. It has the same RJ 45 connection as the rf x-7 amp, do you think it would work with the RF X-7 amp? The amp was made in 2002.

I have a rockford fosgate punch P325.1 subwoofer mono amp that blows a fuse every time i start the car. I have a second pioneer amp but that works with no problems. How can i fix this?

Is it the correct size fuse ? Is it the power fuse or remote ? Either way check your connections going into the amp . Try this hook your other amp to the set of wires for the rockford if that amp has a problem its a wireing problem if not chances are its an interal problem on the rockford . Hope this helps !

Rockford fosgate p 300-1 amp will not turn on

plug your ground, battery, and remote wires only and see if it turns on when you turn your radio on, if not it must have blown. wiggle or move the connection block(where your wires are connected) and see if it tries to turn on. if so, your leads need to be re-soldered since they tend to go cold(they're not making good contact). But again, if that does not help, then your amp is gone.

I have a rockford fosgate 550 that the fuse blows

Short inside one of the transistors. This requires very good soldring skills and electrical know-how, and some thermal paste to go between the heat-sink and the transistor. Unfortunatly this is not a cheap repair, probably cost around 100 dollars.

Cheers,

Does the Rockford 401s amp have a fuse?

Yes. Rockford fosgate has a cover over all of the connections, crossovers, and various other controls. Just remove the cover with the allen wrench they sent with the amp or find a set of allen wrenches if you don't have one. Under this cover you'll find what you're looking for.

Where to take my amp for repair

Contact Rockford for factory service.

If you don't want to send it to Rockford, ask the local audio shops who they use for amp repairs. If several use the same repair shop, it's probably a good place to send your amp.

Rockford fosgate amp 301X- trouble with wiring remote

You may have open shields on the head unit. You need to check continuity between the shield and the case of the head unit. The following page shows you how to do it.

Rockford Fosgate Power T20001bd goes into protect upon power up.

In most of Rockford's amps, the low voltage detection is connected to the remote input. If the remote voltage is too low and they use the same circuit on this amp, it could trigger the protection circuit.

Disconnect the head unit's remote from the amp. Use a fuse holder with a 3 amp fuse to jump between the B+ connection and the remote terminal of the amp. If the amp powers up, the head unit's remote output may be defective. If it blows the fuse, the remote input or part of the power supply is damaged. Do not try it with an unfused jumper.
