Are they visible in the m240 player? If not, are they visible when you plug it into your USB port to view them in Explorer on your computer?

Make sure you have put your m240 player in MSC mode before plugging into your computer by going to Settings>USB and clicking on MSC. Otherwise, you won't be able to view any of the m240 content on your computer.

Cant delete songs from sansa m240. tried the most common solutions.

Try this way...Deleting Files,Pictures,Videos,Audio
Books, Apps,etc. from MP3 Player/Ipod
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release,
right click and then click on "Delete"
Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.
BE CAREFUL and do not delete files needed to operate your MP3 player.

Sansa m240

Your device is too full.

The device needs 8MB of free space to create the database or menu.

Connect the device to your computer, go to My Computer>Device Name (m240)>Open the device and manually delete some songs, 10 should suffice.

Disconnect the device and re-start it.

Your device should function as normal.

Best of Luck.
