SOURCE: My dryer leaves burn marks on the clothes. What

Hi. Thanks for using fixya. I can help you. When clothes get marked or torn in your dryer, check these: Rollers Your dryer may use rollers, or wheels, to support the rear of the clothes drum. When these are worn out, they may cause the clothes drum to drop down slightly, which can pinch the clothes between the top of the clothes drum and the rear of the dryer interior. When the rollers wear out, you need to replace the whole set. Rear seal Your dryer may have a felt-like seal at the rear of the drum. If this seal is worn, torn, or missing, clothes can get caught and torn in the space between the clothes drum and the rear of the dryer interior. When the rear seal wears out, you need to replace it. Front glides Your dryer probably uses nylon or plastic glides at the front of the clothes drum for support. When these are worn out, they may cause the clothes drum to drop down slightly, which can pinch the clothes between the top of the clothes drum and the front of the dryer interior. When the glides wear out, you need to replace them as a set. Front seal Many dryers have a felt-like seal at the front of the drum. If this seal is worn, torn, or missing, the clothes in the dryer may get caught and torn in the space between the clothes drum and the front of the dryer interior. When the seal wears out, you need to replace it. small_8_13.jpg

SOURCE: Hoover Condenser Tumble dryer HSC 170 not heating up

The heating element have got old and brittle over time and finally gave up the ghost. But it is not always the element. It could be one of the safety Hi-limits have blown. All parts of the dryer will have continuity if its working properly. Test for continuity by using a meter set on Ohms,or use a poor man's meter. You can make your own poor man's meter by using an ordinary flashlight . Break the circuit in the flashlight and add a couple of wires to it so that you can make the light come on in the flashlight, that's right hot wire that flashlight. When the bulb lights up you have a circuit! You now have a poor man's meter. The next step is to check each little gizmo on the dryer that the wires attach to. All the limits attached to the side of the heat element, the door switch (when door is closed) etc.should have continuity (closed circuit)(the light should come on in the poor man's meter) If you come across an thing near the blower housing with 2 wires attached to it, that is a thermal limit, a safety or a control thermostat (So as not to get a false circuit you need to remove one of the wires to each thing you check) Look for lint buildup or blocked vent going out the house. If everything is good and you have paid the electric bill, then the timer could be bad.

Hoover dynamic next tumble dryer beeping, stopping, starting, condensation on the glass. Still getting hot

It sounds like your tumble dryer may be experiencing some kind of issue with its sensor system or control board. The beeping and stopping and starting could indicate a problem with the sensors that detect moisture levels in the dryer, which can cause the machine to think that the clothes are dry when they are not. This can also cause the condensation to build up on the glass.
Another possibility is a problem with the control board, which can cause the dryer to behave erratically or stop functioning properly. If you have already cleaned out the lint and checked all of the mechanical parts, it may be time to call a professional repair service to diagnose and fix the issue. They will have the tools and expertise to identify the root cause of the problem and repair or replace any damaged parts.

Hoover Vision HD VHC381 Condenser Dryer. Why does it stop after 5 to 10 seconds?

Edited question for clarity. Re-catorgized to Hoover Dryers

This is a condenser dryer so the parts are not the same. Normally it would be one of the three sensors for temperature control. This only has one sensor, but strangely (for a dryer) it has a pressure switch, and a water valve. My advice is to call for Hoover Service.

There is an exploded view of the parts from the drop down arrow.

Frigidare dryer is leaving Waffle pattern left on clothes after coming out of dryer. Only waffle pattern is back wall of dryer what is going on? Frigidard infinity dryer 3 yrs old

Does it look like a scorch mark? The hot air inlet is usually near the top of the dryer and it would seem that the only time that something like that could happen is if the dryer stopped with clothes in contact with the hot air inlet. Dryer overloaded? Is the dryer vent plugged with lint.
The thermal fuse should blow if the inlet air exceeds 309 Degrees fahrenheit. Is the dryer cycle working properly. There should be a cool down .period before the dryer stops. If you have not cleaned the dryer vent pipes it would be a good thing to at least check.

My condenser dryer is taking 5 - 6 hours to dry the clothes. it is a 7kg indensit dryer

Common faults -
1 The heating elements can fail (meaning open circuit)
2 There are cut-outs (T.O.C's) that might need resetting
3 The thermostats (stats) can trip out or burn out (meaning open circuit)
4 Modern tumble dryers also have sensors and pcb's (Printed circuit boards) these have programs that can fail and circuitry although most should produce an error code showing you were the fault is.
5 Faulty connections and burned wires may also be the fault.

Dryer blowing cold

Check the following to address this issue.

Heating element
A burned out heating element will show no continuity when measured with a meter. Replace the element if found defective.

A heating element might only be partially burned out, in which case it would still work but will take longer time to dry the clothes. Replace the element if found defective.

Thermal fuse
Most dryers have a thermal fuse, which burns out when the dryer overheats, in which case the dryer will either not run at all or stop heating. The fuse is usually located on the vent duct, inside the dryer. A blown fuse will show no continuity when measured with a meter. Before replacing the fuse, make sure the blower wheel is not broken or clogged, and there is nothing blocking the venting.

Please rate and have a great day:)
