Laser printer counters are stored in the EEPROM on the printer. The only way to reset the counter is to change the EEPROM, usually by changing the logic board. The only reason I can see for resetting the counter is the same as clocking a car (to change the number of miles travelled displayed) in order to command a higher price on resale.

There are two major counters in this samsung CLP300 color laser printer.
I will give you the answers for both.
The standard one is the page printed counter. You can not change that The only way is to change the system board or get an used printer (AS LOW AS $80 now!) and swap it.
