I have an RCA R52WH74 rear projection tv. It turns on normally, then after a few minutes turns off, then the power light blinks three times. I poked around trying to figure out what's wrong, and similar problems had me check the capacitors CP150, CP120, and CP114. None of those capacitors look bad, but should I replace them anyway? I've already had the convergence problem and replaced a fuse and resoldered the flyback transformer.
Hello Kira-chan,
You are going to have to take those capacitors out of the Tv and check them on a capacitance tester. Some digital multi-meters have them, but I would suggest using the LC102 by Sencore That way you can check the ESR, and the dielectric absorption of the capacitor. It is my suspicion that these caps are bad, but should be checked before replacing them.
In addition check the BLUE and RED CRTs for cracks around the neck oy the tube, BE CAREFUL.
I hope this helps,
Thank you,

Good day sir, your problem may be overheating, check the switching regulator, it my be the IC or the transistor, if possible place thermal silicon grease between the heatsink of the regulator, make sure its screwed tight. hope this helps. thanks
