Its probably clogged..
Remove the hose,, straghten it out so you can look into it..
Could be clogged where the hose connects inside the unit..

Nilfisk Elite Comfort vacuum cleaner. How to change rear wheels on it please? I have original replacement parts but fail to remove old wheels.

It appears for have hidden spindles holding the wheels so would involve full disassembly. No one has documented this before

By the looks of it, you start with the 2 screws in the bag access bay and then keep going. This is a job that should be done by a service centre.

The Parts Diagram shows all the relative parts and the wheels are held internally by one screw. Blow the PDF image up to 250%.

How do I replace the power cord on a Nilfisk Coupe Neo?

I would say unlikely for a home fix. Getting into vacuums like that is always an issue, but this has the added issue that the cord is auto retractable. The is a small drum with a huge coil spring behind it! Depending where the dog chewed through, you could just wire on a new mains plug?

Hose setting, no suction through hose but not clogged. floor setting still works

Your filter may be stopped up and not allowing vacuum.
Your discharge may be blocked. In order to have vacuum you have to have a way to discharge the air.
Possibly your motor is weak

I found this info
Why is my vacuum losing suction?
A motor generates power which powers a vacuum which, in turn, creates suction to lift debris. The most common areas of suction loss are within the hose itself, the vacuum bag, clogged rollers, broken vacuum belt or a faulty gasket. All of these problems will lead directly to the vacuum cleaner losing suction.

My 4 yr old Nilfisk vacuum cleaner has been working fine up until now. But suddenly, it has hardly any suction power and also, hot air seems to be coming out thru the vents on top and also thru the space...

Hi there SmartAlec from Nelsonvacuums.com.au here.It sounds like a blockage of some kind. The best way to find it is to set the machine up for normal vacuuming and remove one component at a time until the suction returns. eg turn on and feel suction under floor head - not good? then remove the rod, then the hose.
Once at the machine on its own it gets a little triky as i don't know which model you have. However if you have a bagged model remove all the filters and the bag and retest. There will be at least 2 filters, one before the motor and one after (maybe under the vacuum or right at the back). If it is a bagless model even though the filter may look clean it is probably blocked with very fine dust. If suction returns when the filter is removed then you need to buy a new filter. I am a nilfisk vacuum cleaner agent so i can supply a filter for you.
If this still doesnt help you are welcome to call me if you live in australia my contact details are on my website www.nelsonvacuums.com.au.
Hope this helps !.
Happy vacuuming :)

My filters? need cleaning

most likely the hose is blocked, drop a coin down it to confirm. You are best to replace the filters, they are not very expensive; though they are not likely to be the cause of your nilfisk over heating
