The memory card may not be storing your photos.
do you transfer photo direct from camera or use card reader?
If card reader the memory chip might not be fully seated back in camera ( not likely ) or you might have formatted the card incorrectly after transfer.
if direct from camera did you properly remove camera from computer? Remember, just removing device without ejecting device sometimes results in errors. Any device connected via cord to computer is using a USB port and on your task bar you should see indicator , right click select eject device.
if that might be the case reconnect camera then properly eject.
Thanks Larry. I used the USB cable and think I must have not ejected properly. Reconnecting and disconnecting properly has not fixed the problem. There's a lesson in this.
Ok try something like, after properly shutting down Computer unplug for 2 minutes, this will help remove any chace files that might be corrupted related to this USB device.
Power on computer then attach camera via USB then turn camera on. Note if it was recognized as a drive. If so try reformatting memory card, while attached. If that works then eject camera.
With camera disconnected from computer look at camera menu and see if it sees memory card. If not try another card, or see if your camera will format card.
I think if camera sees card you should be ok
