1) Go to www.singerco.com
2) From the "I am looking for" drop down menu, select "Instruction Manuals".
3) To find your particular manual, enter S and then your model number in the search box.
4) Click on "Search".

The manual is in pdf format.

go to diplodocs on page1
look on the right hand side for the alphetbet letters look for S
then look for the singer name,,click on the singer name
that will take you to page 2
look for a large box that says MOST COMMON SEARCHES
look for your sewing machine number & click on it & it will take you to the page 3
on the left look for the box that says FIND USER GUIDE FOR SINGER
click on the manual for your machine it will take you to the last page
page 4-go to box on left hand side that says user manual & it will show a icon it free shows pdf file click on download tab & it will take you to
the final page to the download either answer the questions or put in the code & download the free manual
the manuals are clear & easy to read

I could not find a free, PDF manual. But I did find this manual you could purchase for about 15 bucks.
