The LED in the upper right corner seems to be a charging indicator, so this means that the power supply via the cigarette lighter seems to be ok.

To switch it on, press and hold the power button for 3 or 10 seconds (depends on the state of the device - whether in sleep mode or off).

Power unit up from a completely off state. While it's starting up, hold the Mute and Menu buttons down the entire time. It will start up, then flash. As soon as you see the flash let go of the Mute and Menu buttons. Then, as soon as the lights come on around the unit quickly press and hold the Mute and Menu buttons again. The unit will boot into the Windows CE operating system. You then double click on My Device and delete HDD3 or, if you have a SD card in the slot, cut and paste the HDD3 to the SD card. Power the unit off holding the power button down for 7-10 seconds. Take out the SD card, if you have one in, then power up the unit. It should restart likes it's fresh from the factory. I will not be held responsible for any problems or bricked units! DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!

some portion of the software Has become danaged. you may need to reinstall the system and maps from the supplied CD

This happened to me, I had to send it back to Magellan for repair.

I lost the ability to charge mine after the female piece of the adapter on the unit itself was worn after a year of use. The company has been clueless, and three attempts to urge them to simplify my efforts to fix this have all met with frustration. They suck at Magellan. I threw it in the trash and bought a Garmin.

I have the same issue. The device just powers up and shows the Magellan logo and does not continue past that.

1. You have to go get a new magellan roadmate 3000t.
2. And that will include a manual with it.
3. Manuals are not sold separatley any more.
