X band radar is not showing target echoes
If you have checked the magnetron current and it is normal, then the issue with the X band radar not showing target echoes could be due to a few reasons:
- Antenna: Check the antenna for any physical damage or corrosion. A damaged antenna can cause a weak signal or no signal at all. If the antenna is damaged, it may need to be replaced.
- Transceiver: Check the transceiver for any damage or malfunction. The transceiver is responsible for transmitting and receiving the radar signals. If it is not working properly, it may need to be repaired or replaced.
- Cabling: Check the cabling for any damage or loose connections. Faulty cabling can cause a weak signal or no signal at all. Make sure all connections are secure and the cabling is not damaged.
- Signal Processing Unit: Check the signal processing unit for any damage or malfunction. The signal processing unit is responsible for analyzing the radar signals and displaying the target echoes. If it is not working properly, it may need to be repaired or replaced.
If you are not comfortable troubleshooting the radar yourself, it may be best to contact a professional technician to diagnose and repair the issue.

Clarion vx603au isn't getting past start clarion loading screen please help?
If your Clarion VX603AU is stuck on the start-up screen, there are a few things you can try to fix the issue:
- Perform a hard reset: Try disconnecting the power to the unit by removing the fuse or unplugging the unit for a few minutes. This can sometimes reset the system and get it past the start-up screen.
- Remove the navigation SD card: If the unit was working fine before you installed the wrong file on the navigation SD card, try removing the card and see if the unit starts up. If it does, replace the card with the correct file and try again.
- Try a firmware update: Go to the Clarion website and download the latest firmware update for your unit. Follow the instructions to install the update on the unit. This may fix any software issues that are causing the start-up screen to freeze.
- Contact Clarion support: If none of the above steps work, contact Clarion support for further assistance. They may be able to help you diagnose the issue and suggest a solution.

Keeping course
Please check if the pilot is acting the right direction ,press +10 key and check if boat teers STB,
press -10 and check if boat turns PORT ,if it acts reverse, see handbook to reverse action.
Verify if compass course in standby is indicating correct course .
Do the calibration procedure as stated in in the handbook (360 degree turn)
If it still not indicate the correct course ,or is frozen, compass or printed circuit is faulty.
Check the resistance between the wires of the compass unit .(see google internet)
