SOURCE: re sent wire diagram gat all messed up

Hi
have we spoke before in previous post?
the red can go to any 12v live peramanent such as wire to clock or other item that has power with ignition off and the same with the yellow if your putting these to the same permanent live say from clock you can join these to together red/yellow to red on clock
the black can go to any metal or neg wire.
This should then have your device working the only problem im looking at for you now is the pink wire as this stops you using the device whilst driving as it goes to handbrake but i need to find out if its live or negative.
You could just wire the red/yellow to live and black to earth then see if it switches on and works if not then let me know and ill see about the pink wire ok
Makes sure you use inline fuses on the live wires so as not to short the device out.
Make sure you know what is permanent live to put the yellow/red wire to.
It doesnt need to be ignition it only says this so you cant use it with ignition off but you can wire it into any live feed from clock or switches so its up to you what to wire it to its just the pink wire im concerned about.

PINK: does it tell you to put it to live or earth on handbrake switch?

let me know ok

SOURCE: kenwood kdc 3011 rests its self every time i turn the car off

This means that the power lead you connected the red and yellow to is a switched live and each time you turn off the ignition the power goes off and therefore resets. to fix this problem you need to connect the yellow to a permanent 12v supply that stays live when you turn off the ignition.

SOURCE: JVC KD-G340 Power Problem

I had this same problem...you probably have the wires wrong. Double check your connections for the red and yellow wires from the headunit. Make sure that your red wire is going to a 12 volt source that only switches on with the ignition.

How to resolve miswiring problem on jvc steeo car

MIS WIRING" is displayed when there is a DC offset voltage detected at the speaker terminals ('+' and '-').

This is normally caused by connecting a '+' or '-' speaker wire to either GND or Vcc (+12V)

1. Collect cable not being used and make sure they are tapped off and reset

2. Remove a connected cable one at a time and press RESET

3. If after a cable removal and reset the error goes away, last cable removed was fault. Examine cable for short.

4. If you remove and reset all cables except for (RED, YELLOW, and BLACK) and you stilll have error, the short is internal of unit and requires service

Jvc kw avx840 frozen on telephone screen. Press reset and everything works fine again until either detatch facia or switch off ignition.

Sounds very strange ... I have the exact same set. Try removing the Bluetooth dongle and re installing it again and see if this helps. Is this a new install? You r ground is good right? to the frame not just a black wire from old stereo you replaced?

Fitting a jvc head unit to a 1990 telstar tx5 does the yellow wire from car connect to yellow from jvc and does red access. wire from car connect to red from jvc. because have tried this nothing happening...

get a voltmeter(multimeter) and check the voltage on the

red wire
and
yellow wire
(from the car)
when the car is turned off and when the car is on

one should be 0V when the car is off
and both should be 12V when the car is on

then you need to match that up with the radio using the manual

but im guessing that you dont have a manual so...
i want ot confirm that
when you connect red to red and yellow to yellow
nothing happens

try the oposite way

red to yellow yelolow to red

I need to know which wires go into which transformer lead there is a red wire and grey connected together then orange and black together then yellow and black together then black comming from air...

first find out your voltage..240 or 208...then it is 2(two) wires high voltage and ground. Both high voltage should go to transformer one on common lead another to 240 or 208 lead( if you have up to 218 use 208 lead...), transformer ground it self so don't worry about ground. other side of trasformer got 2 wires it will be your 24 volts..normaly it is blue and red( ruud-rheam-goodman red and grey, carrier red and brown)...if you need to know how to "hook it up" low voltage let me [email protected]

What colour are the power wires, are they green & yellow, black, black & grey, blue & grey, red & grey or black & green. I want to connect a cd/radio player but don't know what wires connect to the cd...

JVC KW-AVX800 The black wire is your ground The yellow is your positive 12v constant so connect this to the wire that has 12v when the car is off. The red connect this to the key switch wire meaning the wire will have a 12v signal only when the key is tured to the on position. The blue is for a power antenna the blue/white stripe is if you have external amps this wire goes to the amps remote on The orange/white stripe connect this wire to your cars dimmer switch Happy Wiring
