My department has a toner cartridge on order for this fax as the old one broke and we are unable to print right now. In the meantime I set up "fax forwarding" to send documents to another fax machine in our building using the abbreviated dialing number (00). I set up the number wrong and it won't dial the other fax properly. Because there are now files in memory, I cannot change the abbreviated dialing number. How do I delete the files from memory (I know they'll be gone for good) in order to change the abbreviated dialing number for Fax Forward. Or is there another way of acessing the memory and sending the files without fax forward?

If you followed the procedure F 7, 2 set, 1 for speed dial, enter your free speed dial space, enter your fax #, set, enter the name, set.(continue to next free speed dial key or stop) If this doesn't work then you may have a bad battery on the main board that saves the data if the power goes off.

I have some questions for you.. Is this problem there since you installed the machine? If yes then it probably means a bad line... If you can try connecting it to another line or connect a different machine at the same slot.. Hope this helps..Let me know how it went so that i can provide further assistance...

Take the swinging drum cover off of the toer cartridge and throw it away. It's only for shipping. They come loose and block the paper path.
Put the number you want to forward to in a one touch number position. (if you have to dial 9 for an outside line, be sure to put that into the one touch number also).
Function 74 set 54 set 2 for valid set stop.
Answer to last question, probably...not.
