Kenwood TS50 - Max volume gives very low audio while receiving

Volume is on max but there is very low audio while receiving. This then changes and suddenly the audio is very very loud. This lasts only short time /some minutes/ and then the audio is again very low and I can hear only at max volume. Transmitting seems to be ok as I get quite good reports
While bad receiving the volume button is in position on
10 o clock / very, very low audio/
12 o clock /low audio/
15 o clock /poor but able to hear audio/
Suddenly it changes into normal functioning and it works properly. This normal state lasts very short time /minutes/ and most of time /hours and days/ the reception is poor.

It sound like a bad reostat in the volume control. if its under warranty send unit back to kenwood and have them replace the volume control, and possible speaker involvement.

Max volume to low

Check the settings of the monitor for audio volume. Also check the individual volume control setting for the applications and system sounds. Or call ViewSonic technical support for assistance.

NO SOUND OUT OF RECIEVER, TURN VOLUME TO MAX AND CAN HARDLY HEAR ANYTHING

TURN THE VOUME CONTROL DOWN TO SOMETHING REASONABLE. MAX VOLUME IS ONLY USED TO DESTROY SPEAKERS.

Unmute it, de-select Tape Monitor, de-select M.Input.

DNX7120 issue with VOL increase button. When this button is pressed once, the volume skyrockets to max, VOL decrease button does not work right away to lower the volume, nor does the ATT button. Unit...

I had the same issue. You can use the on screen volume buttons on screen to stop issue and don't use the physical buttons anymore. Watch out about a month after the volume problem started all physical buttons on my DXN7120 stopped working. There are a few reports of this online, I have not found a fix yet.

I cannot get the volume to go above +13 therefore I cannot hear from the speaker son my kenwood vr-5900. It is about 7 years old.

Ok one more clarification, does the volume knob spin infinitley or does it have a set min and max. If it spins infinitley it is an encoder. What an encoder basically does is send a binary signal to a decoder chip which in turn should control a digital potentiometer. Unfortunatley one of these components may be bad.

Maximum Volume is set at 79 yet will max out at 60-65 depending on source, TV, Audio or DVD is anything wrong?

have you done the audessey setup or even changed the level calibration on your receiver? if so this would reduce the actual max volume on the receiver.

Max. VOLUME on Samsung TVs Too Low

Some models have a volume limit setting, check the MENU and look at the audio settings.
If this has external speakers use other speakers. If it has audio output connect them to a external amp and useing the remote adjust the volume. Check if audio settings are set to internal, external and fixed or vairable output.

WON'T CHANGE CHANNELS ADJUST VOLUME OR SHUT OFF

If the volume buttons work when using the Radio, then the buttons on the Remote are fine.
Now if the volume on your TV is set to MAX and you can barely hear it.
The issue lies with your TV.. ()
Now if I understand correctly or if I am to assume you are using a Reviever.
If the reciever is used for all volumes... If this is the case.
I also assume the volume on the TV Speakers is set to off
Therefore when you use the Radio/DVD the volume control is using the Reciever volume.
and when you switch to TV it uses the TV volume thus the TV volume is not gonna work as well.
2 scenarios
1 The TV volume even at max is not giving you enough power to get the low receiver volume
2 the Receiver volume is at max and barely audible.. if this is the case just manualy adjust your TV volume to get it to a decent sound level.

Hard to explain but I know the 2 issues can be fixed.
