You have could use a cable with 2 tulip plugs on one side and a 3,5 mm headphone plug on the other side. Plug the tulip plugs on the back of your Kenwood in AUX, tuner or Tape in, and choose thethat input on the Kenwood and plug the 3,5 mm plug in the headphone port of the MP3 player (iPod)
That is all.

From what i see it is a compact hi fi system. no do not connect to the headphone port. there are many ways to use this. on the back if it has an cd or phono imput, you can get a cord to go from your ipod to connect to this and use the system to play through. it is has pre amp inputs your ipod might be useable through them as well. the manual is on line in several places and here is a link to one. SOURCE: usb kdc-x890 IPOD

The 890 doesn't support iPod control via USB. You can only read plain data storage devices on the USB port, such as a flash drive or portable hard drive. When you plug the iPod in (to a PC or the 890), it doesn't show up as a plain file storage device. Some of the newer Kenwoods do offer direct iPod control via USB. These ones have more "smarts" and are able to properly talk to the iPod and access its music. For the older models, you'll need to buy the special iPod interface, which accesses the iPod like a CD changer.

SOURCE: Connecting iPod to JVC KD-LH810!?!

Hi, KD-LH810 has no option for external input. Refer to the picture attached. It is only front and rear line outputs. Don't get disappointed. Buy the accessory cable KS-U100 and you are set. This info is from the installation manual.

How do I connect my iPod to a stereo Kenwood

The superior audio quality thanks to the Kenwood stereo system is as good as any on the market. However, many of Kenwood audio receivers contain no iPod connection port. Even the business hubs of high-end entertainment that interface with the computer via USB cannot provide connectivity to an iPod. But that does not mean you cannot high-quality audio through your stereo Kenwood iPod.

1. Put your Kenwood stereo. Connect devices with the stereo turned on may lead to spikes in volume that can damage the speakers and even your ears. Turn up the stereo, so you can use the set of connectors on the back to see.

2. Connect the end of 3.5 mm 3.5 mm to RCA cable for the headset from your iPod. If you do not have a cable 3.5mm to RCA, you can buy one of the sound equipment stores or electronics stores like Radio Shack.

3. Connect the RCA end to your cable 3.5mm to RCA in an available port on the back of your Kenwood stereo. Put your Kenwood stereo, so you can access the buttons on the front. Turn the sound and select the channel of your iPod is connected.

4. Test the connection. Lower the volume on the Kenwood stereo and start a track playing on your iPod that you can recognize. Turn your volume until you play the iPod through the stereo to listen. If you hear no sound, check the "Monitor CD2/TAPE2" is active, and "Mute" is off
How to hook up speakers to an ipod dock

Just run an cable (3.5mm headphone jack into stereo rca cable) from your ipod's earphone jack to one of the available input channels on your amplifier. I put mine into the front auxiliary input on my amp and just simply selected that channel on the amp. Hope it helps. By the way, an RCA cable is the one with the white and red plugs. 2_21_2014_8_49_22_pm.png

I just bought a Kenwood KDC-MP439 and the box says made for ipod........ But i dunno how to use the feature...... Help!!!!!

This particular model is advertised as being "made for iPod," but this claim is a bit misleading. Most decks advertised this way mean "iPod ready," but require you to purchase an additional accessory to use that functionality.

In the case of the KDC-MP439, you can use your iPod with the deck by connecting the iPod to the AUX connection on the right side of the faceplate. Making this connection will require you to purchase a cord with 3.5mm male audio connectors on both ends (it's the same connector on your headphones that plugs into the iPod's headphone jack, only you'll need one with that connector on both ends of the cord).

If you'd like to take advantage of the wireless Bluetooth functionality of the iPod, you will need an iPod Touch (2G, 3G, or 4G versions) and the Kenwood accessory KCA-BT100. This component adds hands-free Bluetooth functionality to your stereo. You can find this module at many locations in a range of prices. For example, eBay has them for prices as low as $39.99 (may be a minimum bid for an auction-type listing; be sure to check the listing type if you go this route). Online retailers seem to vary between $99.99 and $150 or so. These will include a manual that should provide instructions for pairing your iPod with the stereo unit.

If you find this information helpful, please remember to give this solution a positive rating!

Can i hook up an ipod to play on it?

Yes. You need a 1/8" stereo male to dual RCA patch cord (fairly easy to find in most audio stores) and put the 1/8" into the ipod's headphone jack, and the RCA's into the Kenwood's tape or AUX inputs.

How can I hook an iPod touch to a coby dvd968?

It has a USB port that you may be able to us with your iPod's sync cable (I'm not familiar with this Coby model) but you can always hook an iPod to any stereo or home theater using a mini jack to RCA stereo audio cable, just plug one end into the headphone jack on the iPod and the red/white cables go into an audio input in back (or front) of stereo or home theater. Good Luck.
