Sounds like the defrost drain is clogged. Look at the rear of the unit. You should see a plastic tube underneath the freezer section that runs down to the drain pan. Its most likely blocked with food. Carefully remove it and clear out the line then replace it and it should stop freezing up. Make sure its unplugged from the power before you work on it. If its frozen up, let it defrost before you try removing it. You can use a hairdryer to speed up the defrosting, but be careful using it around any wet areas.

SOURCE: ice maker leaks inside freezer

check the water discharge hose which fills the ice maker after ice is dumped into the bin. the line is located in most cases at one end of the ice maker and allows the water to flow into a funnel like device above the ice maker mold. the hose has the diameter of a penny, it is probably misaligned with the ice maker itself/

SOURCE: samsung frost free fridge freezer ices bottom of freezer

it means that the freezer heater is bad, it's located after you remove the racks from the freezer and removing the back panel, it's at the bottom or below the condenser.

SOURCE: water is leaking outside the door. once u open the

Hello, this sounds like you have a blockage in the drain tube, remove panel back of freezer..you may see ice build up...melt ice with hair dryer/heat gun...you will see a pan below evaporator...melt ice in pan...dry water up in pan with paper towel...now you should see a hole in pan that leads to drain tube...pour some hot water in pan..wait a couple minutes..mop up water and repeat this step 2-3 times....once you have done this find some flexible curatain wire or electrical wire..poke down the hole until you see the water drain..now it is clear..put back panel back and you are good to go. The reason you see water in the Freezer is because the water has been leaking into the freezer instead of running into the drain hole...If you need any further assistance please feel free to comment again. good luck! P.s Please don't forget to rate my solution thanks! Mike.

SOURCE: Samsung RS253BAVQ freezer Keeps defrosting, and wont dump ice

One posibility is that it is not defrosting a all and that the ice is building up on the evaporator coil behind the rear cover inside the freezer. This condition will block the flow of cold air. Remove the back panel to see what your have. Either no ice , light frost, partial icing or heavy icing blocking the fins. Complete light frosting is normal.

How to fix water leak n freezer

Some thing I would do if mine had a leak is secure the source of water. mine Is in the basement. it's a clear 1/4" tube with a small valve. once pressure is off I would try to isolate where it's leaking from.Usually water comes in on a high corner. My ice maker is on the left so the line comes in behind it. Tell me you have an ice maker. stop me if you don't have an ice maker... ok you do, good.
Now the supply branches off to cold water or ice maker. It gets the water cold as it passes through that area, then goes to the choice cut-out in the door. you may need to cheat the doors to watch things drip. Ask yourself is the water making the trip to the ice maker or has there always/recently been an issue. I had a weird prob last summer where the ice maker didn't work and there was water everywhere in front. Turned out the ice cubes mutated into an weird size that never let the small door shut; hot air from the room melted the weird size; next request for ice replaced the mutated size, keeping the small flap open and the vicious circle started again. Anyway that might not be your issue but (good memories) cheat the doors watch where it's dripping from. Get flashlight, it gets dark with the doors "shut" look for something to tighten. plus my big Cadillac LG came with a factory plug you could replace the filter with (is your filter installed correctly?) This plug Im talkin about seals everything off I believe, so It can be a useful tool to troubleshoot with... Good luck my polar friend~~~~SC door cheating refers to a way that the equipt thinks doors are shut so it acts normal, for troubleshooting only.

Tfx25ppbb. Water leaks into bottom of freezer when refilling ice tray in automatic ice maker. Ice still gets made but water leaks to the bottom of freezer. When enough freezes, it leaks out the door

It's probably not the ice-maker. It has a plugged drain. This is located in the back wall of the freezer near the bottom. remove the evaporator cover...(the back wall of the freezer). Below the coils is a trough with a hole in it where the defrost water drains. This is probably frozen over.
Pour some hot water in to trough until you see drain hole. Keep pouring until water runs thru drain. May have to shut down ref to get it to defrost.

My kenmore elite refrig keeps leaking water from what appears to be condensation. It gets so bad that the ice maker door freezes shut and water actually drips on the floor. The freezer is set to 0 while...

The high level of condensation is due to constant opening of the fridge when the frost develops. It is required to defrost off the condensation and if this has an auto mode timer for defrost , then it is possible that it is not working.
The water must drain out to the drain tank but since it is formed out of the freezer the water flows out of the collection tray.

HOW TO FIX A LEAKING REFRIGERATOR OR FREEZER

There are many reasons for this happening for example water leaking from a water supply line for the dispenser or ice maker, a crack in the defrost pan, water leaking inside and draining through the refrigerator cabinet, but most are caused by a defrost drain line blockage. Below is a link that may be helpful so try to take it all in and use the parts that most refer to your specific problem, Thanks Sea Breeze

Maytag side by side fridge freezer leaking water

Your drain plug within the evap area of the freezer is frozen, turn frig off, let sit for day or two with doors open. Once all ice has melted then take rear freezer evap cover off and pour water into try and make sure it drains, if not then unplug drain. This is usually caused by a defrost heater bad or unit not going into defrost when it's supposed to, may be main board.

Frigidaire fridge leaks where ice maker is on

Your leaking problem gives two possibilities. The water control valve for the ice maker side is defective and while shut off the water will continue to slowly flow and leak into the freezer compartment. The other possibility id the condensate defrost drain is blocked and frozen over behind the rear panel of the freezer and at the bottom of th coils. I believe your defrost condensate drain has a blockage of ice and will need to be defrosted and clean the condensate line from the freezer to the condensate collection plate below your refrigerator. Most times the blockage begins slowly until the opening of the drain hole under the evaporator freezes itself shut. Below is a link to some solutions I have collected over a period of time. Also has a short movie that makes the repair look simpler. Water leaking and ice in bottom shelf of freezer

Chances are you have a bad seal around the door if it's leaking from the inside which causes the ice to form as well, or if it's leaking from under the freezer you lave a bad heating element that evaporates the water collected in the pan under the freezer or you have a clogged hose that goes to the pan under the freezer which also causes the ice to form because the water has no place to go. Defrost and try to find a way to blow out the hose that goes from your freezer to the pan under the freezer and that should take care of your problem.
