I need to clear tabs and margins on NakaJIMA typewriters

Clearing tabs and margins on a Nakajima typewriter can vary depending on the model, but here are some general steps to follow:
  1. Turn off the machine and unplug it.
  2. Locate the tab and margin set buttons on the typewriter. These are typically located on the front or top of the machine, and may be labeled as "Tab Set," "Margin Set," or similar.
  3. Press and hold the tab and margin set buttons while turning on the machine.
  4. Release the buttons once the machine has powered on.
  5. The tabs and margins should now be cleared.
You can also consult the manual of the machine, it should have instructions on how to clear the tabs and margins on your specific model.
It's important to note that clearing the tabs and margins on a typewriter will also reset other settings, such as line spacing and paper position, so you may have to adjust these settings again.

How do you remove the tab set

You probably have the L. margin set there. Return to that point, press but don't hold the MAR REL key, backspace to desired location, press L. MAR key.
