The print hammer armature is probably cracked. This has to be done by a pro. The Print wheel may be in incorrectly. Remove it and reinsert it, make sure it spins when turning on.

Typing the wrong letters

First try opening and closing the top cover. If that does not reset the print wheel to the correct characters, check and make sure the correction tape is not interfering with the wheel as it spins. If that is not the case remove the print wheel and make sure non of the spokes are bent. If they are you can try bending them back to the right position or you may have to replace it.

When you start the typewriter, the pinting mechanism moves all the way to the left, stops, and it starts beeping.

Make sure the Print wheel is installed correctly. When the carriage goes to the lhs the print wheel should spin to find its home position... if no print wheel is installed it can give this symptom.

Wrong letters are printed

The Daisy wheel is probably in wrong..reinstall it until it spins to the home position. Its either that or an adjustment to the print wheel motor.

Incorrect characters printing after the third line

Geno111 doesn't know what he's talking about. Look closely at your correction tape once it has passed the daisy wheel. Does it looked roughed up a little? I just had this same error and discovered that my daisy wheel was hitting my tape when spinning and not allowing it to jump characters like it needed to. I simply put a little double sided tape on the daisy wheel cover between it and the metal tab that holds the ribbon at a certain distance, to increase the space the daisy wheel has to spin. It seems to have worked so far. If anyone has a permanent solution, or answer as to how it spins wobbly, I'd love to hear it.

I can not figure out why it won't type

Could be the print hammer selenoid is stuck if the print hammer does not fire at all. It shoild fire whether there is no ribbon or print-wheel installed. Look around for any loose cables but failing that your only option is to go to a repair shop.
