The codes for the AV 293 remote to operate a Yamaha RXV565 receiver may vary depending on the specific model of the remote. Here are a few steps you can follow to program the AV 293 remote to work with your Yamaha RXV565 receiver:
Turn on the Yamaha RXV565 receiver.
Press and hold the "Power" and "Input" buttons on the AV 293 remote simultaneously until the red LED light flashes twice.
Press the "Power" button on the AV 293 remote.
Enter the three-digit code for your Yamaha RXV565 receiver using the number buttons on the remote. The code may be listed in the instruction manual for the AV 293 remote or you can try one of the following codes: 431, 439, 471, 478, 559, or 678.
Press the "Input" button on the AV 293 remote to test the code. If the code is correct, the Yamaha RXV565 receiver should turn off. If the code is incorrect, the red LED light on the AV 293 remote will flash twice.
Repeat the above steps to try a different code if necessary.
If you are unable to find the correct code or have any difficulty programming the AV 293 remote, you may need to consult the instruction manual or contact the manufacturer for assistance.
To program your Yamaha RAV352 remote to your Yamaha RX-V2500 receiver, you can follow these steps:
Turn on your Yamaha RX-V2500 receiver.
Press and hold the "DVD" button on your RAV352 remote until the "DVD" button lights up.
Press the "Code Set" button on the remote.
Enter the code "30476" using the number buttons on the remote. The "DVD" button will blink twice to confirm the code has been entered.
Press the "Power" button on the remote to test if the receiver turns off. If it does, the programming was successful. If not, repeat steps 2-4 with a different code until you find the correct one.
If you're unable to find the correct code for your receiver using the above steps, you may need to try using the "Auto Search" function on the remote. To do this, follow these steps:
Turn on your Yamaha RX-V2500 receiver.
Press and hold the "Code Set" button on the RAV352 remote until the indicator light starts flashing.
Press the "Power" button on the remote to start the Auto Search function. The indicator light will continue to flash as the remote searches for a compatible code.
Once the receiver turns off, press the "Enter" button on the remote to save the code.
Test the remote by pressing the "Power" button to turn the receiver back on.
Hopefully, one of these methods will successfully program your Yamaha RAV352 remote to your Yamaha RX-V2500 receiver.
Since Insignia and LG share compatible codes for digital-to-analog converters, review your remote control's manual for LG VCR codes as they should work to control the Insignia converter.
Best bet would be to call the company that installed the direct tv system and ask them if there is any way to run the system with another code from the remote than it had now. You probably won't be the first with this problem so they will probably already have a solution ready. Only problem with that being that if both the receiver and direct tv system work on RF frequencies instead of IR lights like normal TV remotes, then it will require to use a different frequency to operate and will require a technician to come to your home and they might charge for that. If all else fails you can always try to isolate the optical eye of the receiver if it does work with IR lights to blind it from the remote. But doing so will also blind it from its own remote and you might have to resolve to operating the receiver by hand. If it woks in RF, then if your lucky enough taking the antenna for the remote off of the receiver will shorten its range and might just be enough for it not to respond to the direct tv remote. It will still work with it's own remote though, but having no antenna you will need to get closer to the receiver.
It is 30376. The trick to discovering, is to turn the receiver off, first. Then it will power on when you input mute/select 30376. Then you can program the DirecTV remote to adjust volume (in AV2 mode only or in all modes). However, it will only power up the receiver. It has to be turned off with the original remote or at the receiver itself.
(I have the RX-V659). Because the Yamaha remote has TWO SEPARATE buttons - power ON and power OFF (standby). This problem can't be fixed. There's a code to choose power ON and another code for power OFF. But one button can't be two buttons. Bad engineering\ design by Yamaha in my opinion
