Whirlpool dishwasher integrated steam escaping

Make sure that your heat setting is turned on, and when the cycle is done, crack the door open to let the steam escape.

The first thing I'd suspect is a poorly fitting door seal / gasket. This will permit the heat inside the oven to escape. Check to be sure the the one installed is defective (cut, split, frayed, dislodged, etc.) Replacement parts:

when the appliance was installed there should of been a metalic paper looking strip that had a sticky back this should unpeeled and be stuck to the underside of the worktop and it will deflect the heat and steam away from your worktop. Sadly this will only get worse if not fitted as everytime the appliance finishes when the door is opened the steam will billow out onto the worktop.

Is the machine properly lined up?

Could be a small leak at the top - won't leak water, but steam can escape maybe.

I too have a similar problem. Drying light blinks, doesn't shut off, little if any steam escapes when door is open during drying cycle. Wonder if this is Ariston's Dynamic Drying? My unit is new too.

Hi, Most dishwashers do not have steam vents! there are several reasons for poor drying in a d/washer! The first one is to see that you have rinse aid in the machine as this aids drying! Next if you have rinse aid then is it being put into the machine when it needs it? Also you must bear in mind that the dishwasher need to heat on the last rinse to create the heat to dry the items which use the steam to dry them. Check the rinse aid first and see how you get on....

Model numbers that are worn or missing are hard to find. When you go to whirlpool's website you might find your dishwasher there, other wise it might not have them listed because it is obsolete.

One place to look is on the panel below your dishwasher door. In some cases it is stuck there, or somewhere else under the dishwasher.
I have seen them inside of the dishwasher housing (under the cabinet between cabinet and dishwasher.

Very rarely will you find the model numbers inside of the dishwasher doors. However according to Whirlpool, if you open your door, you will find a sticker or a riveted plate on the right hand side of the dishwasher's frame, near the seals.

One thing I suggest however once you have discovered the model number, write it down and put it someplace safe.
