I have used Bon Ami or Bar tenders Stainless steel cleaner (found in the section of Ajax or Comet Cleaner). Put some of the powder on soft cloth, wet it a little & scrub mark lightly; use clean rag w/water to clean off powder. Then use stainless steal spray cleaner (like the one found at Bath & Beyond) and rub in with soft cloth. I have found that the pull-out stainless steel cleaner wipes are too wet & just smear. Just a thought. Our frigidaire stainless steel refrigerator came with a temorary protective film on the steel parts that we peeled off after it was installed. Is it possible you never removed your film when you got your refrigerator? That may be what is starting to peel off now. Again, just a thought, I could be wrong.

IF IT IS BRUSHED STAINLESS, AND THE SCRATCHES ARE REALLY BAD, YOU COULD TRY SOME STEEL WOOL TO SOFTEN THE SCRATCHES, BUT IT WILL BE A TRADE OFF OF MINIMIZING THE SCRATCHES AND CAUSING A SMEARED LOOK TO THE BRUSHED STAINLESS PATTERN.
