Take out all shelves and accessories that can be removed. Wash these thoroughly with a mild detergent (dish washing liquid and warm water) and rinse thoroughly. Allow them to air dry completely.

This is an inherent problem with bagless vacuums. The filter(s) will absorb odors and odors will get trapped in places that you cannot clean. This is why I always recommend bagged units. Be careful not to use petroleum based deodorizers as they can affect the plastic.
