Hello! The belt on your Magnesium is a fiber reenforsed belt that is designed to not stretch from normal use. Therefore it is not the easiest to acesss when it does need replaced. The belt will need replaced likely. The beltis on the left side of the vacuum and requires you to remove the side of the unit as well as to make it easier the bottom blue piece that is over the brushroller. Honestly I would advise anyone with this issue to take it to an Oreck repair center. Because ethe belts don't stretch it's difficult to roll the new belt on. Hope this helps!
I'm not sure whagt kind of question you are asking. you don't list make nor model of sander. if you need a replacement belt, the easiest thing to do is to take the belt off and take it with you to your hardware store and that way you will be sure to the right belt(s)
The only way to replace an alternator drive belt that is on an inside pulley is to remove the outer belts before the inner one can be fitted.
To fit inner belt, loosen the adjusting clamp and mounting bolts on the units that tension the outer belts such as the aircon compressor and power steering units and moove them to loosen the belts and then remove these belts. Once these belts are off, check them for wear and cracking of the rubber on the inside surface and if suspect it would pay to replace them as well. Loosen clamp and mounting bolts on the alternator, if not already done so, and moove alternator so that alternator belt can be fitted.
Retension alternator belt and tighten clsmping and mounting bolts Refit other belts in turn and tension and tighten clamping and mounting bolts.
Correct tension is when belt is pushed on the longest run between pulleys with a 10 Kg force. Belt should deflect a maximum of 8 mm.
Your water pump is driven by the timing belt; to access you will need to remove the forward portion of the engine (pumps/alternator/belts and such) when replacing the water pump you wll need to remove and then replace the timing belt and tensioner. Much care is needed to to insure the proper timing or things can go very bad. On a scale of 1-10 (1 being the easiest) I'd give this a 6.5 to 7.
TAKE BACK COVER OFF MACHINE; TO DO THIS LOOK FOR SKREWS IN SIDES OF MACHINE YOU WILL NEED A SKREW DRIVER ,REMOVE SKREWS AND PANEL SHUOLD COME LOOSE, BUT MAKE SURE YOU GET SAME MODEL BELT FOR REPLACEMENT.
The easiest way is to find your owners manual and find the picture of the belt in there. Using the picture as a guide you can change the belt in a matter of a few minutes. Just make sure that you get the new belt under all of the belt guards or you will destroy the new belt in no time. If the pulley is flat on the running surface, it goes on the back side of the belt, if it is a "v" on the running surface, the inside of the belt goes in the "v". There may also be a routing diagram under the foot board on one side or other of the tractor. Some of the AYP units have it, some don't
