I have a Beam Rugmaster Plus power head Model BM1 393 Type AB and the connection were the metal pipe meets the plastic swivel broke close to the unit. It appears like a manufacture defect in that is broke...

This is most likely repairable. Lots of the Beam parts are available. I would recommend checking out any local vacuum shop or searching online for a central vacuum store that sells beam products.

I have to reset my Beam Central vac quite often!!!

Check to see if there is a clog in the system. Something is causing stress on your motor causing it to switch off. Or it could be the motor itself failing.

First check for a clog, if you can't find anything wrong, call Beam for assistance

Do you know what a filter bag looks like in a central air vac system?

The unit displayed is a Beam Electrolux central vacuum power unit. It has a 15litre dust bucket which does not need any dust bags.

If you take the bucket off you will notice a white shiny weighted bag hanging down. This is the filter. The good news is, it is a self cleaning filter.

Beam Central Vac Breaker Pops
Posted by tinateggart1 on Jul 17, 2008
The breaker on our beam model 167 central vac popped while in use. Every time I try and restart it, it immediately pops again. What's the problem? Circuit board? Motor? Overheating?
Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Chances are it is the relay switch on the inside of the Beam Central Vac, if it was a motor, it would not turn on @ all. If it was a circuit board, it may or may not be turned on, but if it will turn on and then pop your circuit breaker than it probably is the relay switch. Please, check with your local Beam vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or contact the Beam website or cust serv @ the phone number listed below. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. The Beam Central Vac may have more than a one year factory warranty and it sounds to me that you may have a bad relay switch the Central Vac, if you do it should be covered under the factory warranty. Otherwise, you may have a bad supervalves or a wire came loose, if the hose switch turns on the power nozzle then it may be a bad supervalve or a bad relay and to contact the installer or the manufacturer of Beam. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

No suction beam serenity plus

You may need a new filter bag part #110346. They can cause suction problems at the unit. Either that are there is a problem with the motor, does it sound alright when running? If not, take it to a beam repair shop, with proof of purchase, the motor would be under warranty for the part only, not labor. The filter bag is not covered by warranty.
