I just replaced the cord in my Tristar vacuum. Power head spins but motor not running?

Seems you may have wired it to send power to the power head but not the motor.

The motorised head on My dc31 animal has stopped spinning have checked no blockages and have tried another motorised head and this also does not spin !! Help please , otherwise a great little vacuum

Neither head is receiving power from main unit. Check out the wiring and make sure that power is reaching the motor of the head unit.

Kenmore canister power head not working?

Without more info, I would investigate the drive belt, make sure the beater bar is free to spin (no hair or carpet fibers twisted onto the moving parts), and then check that the power is getting to the motor of the power head. Most often it is hair/fibers that collect around the ends of the beater bar. This causes the belt to stall, heat up and stretch due to the drive motor shaft spinning on one spot because the belt can't move. After removing twisted hair/fibers, you probably only need to replace the belt.

The light stop working and its not picking up from the head.

the power head usually has a reset button on it look for one and push it. If there isn't one, turn over the power head and then turn on the machine to see if the roller bar is spinning. If it is you can put your foot (with shoe on )against it gently and if it stops easily it needs a belt and if it isn't spinning at all it is in need of a replacement. Also be sure to check the electrical connections that go from the head up the hose and to the unit. This is where the unit gets its power for the power-head.Good luck!

I have an Electolux Oxygen canister vacuum and the power head suddenly stopped working. It is only a few months old. Any suggestions.

1. You have to verify if it's simply the belt that has broken and the spinning brush isn't spinning because of it. Place your ear next to the top of the power head to listen for the power head motor. If electricity is getting to the head you'll hear the motor and know to inspect the belt.

2. If the motor doesn't run, look at the electrical pin connectioins in the pipe from the hose to the head. Are they burnt? If yes a new wand is needed. Also check the electrical connections in the hose handle and make sure they are not burnt.

Let me know if this helps

No spinning in the power head

First, check the red reset button on the power nozzle head. - if it's popped out, push it in. Also, if you have a switch on the handle, make sure you're pressing it while you're vacuuming. if those obvious solutions are already remedied, you may need to check the power outlet on the canister for voltage with a voltmeter while the vacuum is running, and then check your power hose and wand for continuity (checking for a broken wire) while the hose is disconnected from the canister. If all this checks out and the power nozzle still doesn't power on, you may have a bad motor in the power nozzle. If you're good at taking things apart, then it's a simple fix to replace the power nozzle motor.

Dyson DC 24 pick up head wont spin

- Look for the reset button on the side of the brushbar housing - there should be a red sticker and a red button. Push it once. It's
not gonna stay depressed, it's gonna pop right out - that's normal.
- Step on the red pedal on the back
- Turn the machine on with the red power button
- Press the gray button next to the red power button - this is the ON/OFF switch for the brushbar - if it doesn't spin, press and hold the gray button down for 10 seconds
- If it still isn't spinning, remove the brushbar and make sure nothing is blocking it and withholding it from spinning
- For further troubleshooting assistance call the Dyson helpline, they know what they're doing

Miele SEB-213 powerbrush stopped working

Pull the head cover off to check the belt, if the belt is ok then it might be the power connection between the handle and the power head shaft. If the red light is on the power head, then its not the connection
because its getting power. Now some heads have a reset button on them, you could check this also.
With the cover off the power head, remove the belt, now turn it on, and be careful, but try to make the motor shaft spin, with one finger, because if it does start to spin you do not want to hurt your finger.

If the motor starts to spin, put the belt back on, if it does not spin again, the motor is too weak.
If it does not spin at all, the motor is bad.Hope this helps you,and you get it working.

Power head on epic 6500 does not work, is there a belt?

This is a bot of a blind guess, I don't know the model. But most power head cleaners I have worked on use the suction of the vaccuum to spin a turbo fan in the head (like blowing a child's windmill). The head not spinning is usually because there's not enough **** to spin the turbo fan. Check for:
Gummed up brush bearings (dirt or damp) making the brush harder to turn than it should be.
Poor suction caused by a blocked or partially blocked pipe.
An obstruction that is tactchin the beater or the turbo fan.
Blocked filters on the cleaner, reducing the **** and thereby not providing enough vaccuum to spin the beater.
