Xerox phaser 7400DN jabs at fuser

The printer trays accommodate most sizes and types of paper, transparencies, or other
specialty media. Follow these guidelines when loading paper and media in the trays:
- Envelopes, labels, and glossy paper can be printed from Tray 1 (MPT) only.
- Transparencies and custom size paper can be printed from Tray 1 (MPT) and Tray 2.
- Fan paper, transparencies, and labels prior to loading them in the tray.
- Use only paper envelopes. All envelopes should be printed single-sided only. Some
wrinkling and embossing may occur when printing envelopes.
- Do not overload the paper trays.
- Adjust the paper guides to fit the paper size.
- If excessive jams occur, use paper or other media from a new package.

It's hard to set up the mpt tray when the display is out. Send the job to the printer with no paper in the mpt. The printer should then ask you to put 11 x 17 in the mpt. Hope that helps.

Xerox phaser 7760 sends fault error code 007-274. Won't go further. -john

This error means there is an open circuit in the Paper size sensor, in Tray 1/MPT.

It could be a broken wire in the tray assembly, or a fault on the Engine control interface board.

The voltage at the sensor should be about 3 VDC. (Pin 1 of Plug J610)

Xerox 6350 prints ghost page every page printed. It is printing a ghost imge of the previous document printed on every page.

If the ghost is black then you might have a bad Black Developer 116-2011-00

If the ghost is in all colors then it may be your fuser, or possibly just your paper settings. (If you are using glossy paper or card stock this needs to be fed from the MPT tray and defined correctly in the control panel)

Good luck!

4 - black ink smudges (1/32" wide x 1/16" high) in right margin

Very nice trouble shooting. The image defect you describe point to the OPC or drum unit this is essentially the toner cart. In your case black. Measureing the distance between repetitive defects is a sure way of diagnosing problems such as yours. Again nice work.

Google repetitive defect ruler for your model to help in the future.

Hope this helps
