PLEASE HELP ME WITH CODE 0910

C0910 service code means that your tray 2 is not lifting the paper properly. Most often this is caused by the tray being loaded improperly. So to try and fix this I would open tray 2 and check the loading of the paper and correct if necessary. Reset the code by turning off then on the main power from the back left side of the machine. Leave tray 2 open until the copier warms up and says ready. Then close tray 2 and wait to see if the code comes back. If it does then you have a motor lift problem or the sensor that detects the lift is bad. You can always leave tray 2 open and inch or 2 so that you can still use the copier as this will keep the code from coming on.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

  1. Before you do anything else, turn the printer off and on by following these steps:
    1. Turn off the printer by pressing the Power button.
    2. If the optional HP Photosmart Internal Battery is not installed in the printer, unplug the printer power cord. Wait about 10 seconds, then plug the power cord back in.
    3. If the optional HP Photosmart Internal Battery is installed in the printer, unplug the printer power cord, if it is plugged in. Open the battery compartment cover and remove the battery. Wait about 10 seconds, then reinstall the battery. If desired, plug in the power cord.
    4. Turn on the printer. The printer checks for paper in the paper path and will automatically eject the jammed paper. Press OK to continue.
If the error still occurs, go on to the next step.
  2. If the paper came part way through the front of the printer, gently pull the paper towards you to remove it.
  3. If the paper did not come part way through the front of the printer, try removing it from the back of the printer:
    1. Remove the paper from the In tray, then push in the catches to release the in tray. Figure 1: In tray catches c00256377.jpg
    2. Open the In tray to a horizontal position.

  4. Open and close the pen door on the front of the printer to make sure it is securely latched. Figure 3: Opening and closing the pen door c00269435.gif
How to avoid paper jams
  • Make sure that the cartridge door on the front of the printer is securely closed.
  • If you experience paper jams while printing, try loading one sheet of photo paper at a time. Insert the paper as far as it will go into the In tray.
  • Do not add paper while the unit is printing.
  • Do not use paper that is too thin, too slick, or that stretches.
  • Do not use torn or creased paper. Paper that has been printed previously may cause jams.

Dell 5110cn printer error code 016-317

The 016-317 on this printer refers to the printer not being able to communicate with the MCU board. This is what you should do. This was pulled from support.dell.com. Which is the same troubleshooting trees as the phone/internet agents use. If this doesn't solve your issue, you will more than likely need to update the firmware of the printer, or replace the board. STEP: Reseat the controller card on the 5100cn-series printer.
Additional Information image001.gif CAUTION: Before you perform any of the following steps, read the Precautionary Measures warning (located in the Resources/Additional Resources section) for your personal safety and to prevent damage to the computer system from electrostatic discharge.
To reseat the controller card, perform the following steps:
  1. Make sure that the printer is turned off and unplug all cables including the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Pull the tray rear cover so that the top edge tilts out, then lift the tray rear cover off its hinges. (Figure 1)

Printing problem with HP Laserjet P2015 printer

This can be an issue with one of the faulty sensor across the printer.
Please check if you are able to print from tray 1, e.g. a configuration page.
A config page can be printed by holding the Green Button and releasing it as soon as the Triangle light comes on. This would take approx 5 secs.
If the printer is able to print from tray 1, then it could be an issue with the tray 2 pickup sensor.
Check if the tray 2 pickup sensor ( a black plastic piece to the right of the tray 2 pickup roller) is moving freely (front and back), also check if tray 2 pickup roller is not able to rotate completely.

If the tray 2 sensor is not moving freely and of the pickup roller is rotating completely, then reseat the pickup roller.

Normal use with good media causes wear resulting in the need to periodically clean or replace the pickup roller. Additionally, the use of poor media might require more frequent replacement of the pickup roller. Replacing the pickup roller Complete the following to replace the pickup roller:

CAUTION: Failure to complete this procedure might damage the printer. Unplug the power cord from the printer, and allow the printer to cool.
