Photosmart D7460 will not print envelopes from Printshop 23

I will advice you to locate the print-shop folders that are on your computer. or simple open one of the files you created with this software and right click file location. it will open where all the other files are stored on your computer. backup everything stored on your computer to a flash drive.

The Print Shop version 20 Deluxe for PC is not compatible with Windows 7. The newer Version 23 is compatible. This is due to software compatibility issues with Windows 7.

You can check for Win 7 Compatibility for "software or hardware" @ Windows 7 Compatibility Center

It will not run on Win 7, even when you are using the Compatibility Mode options. Too bad you have to get the newer version 23.

There are 2 parts to doing this.
1. You need to use an appropriate application. ie. MS word In the word application you need to select the envelope type. this varies depending on what version of word you use. Use this link if you use 2007/2010. If you use 2003, then go to tools-> letters and mailings -> envelopes and labels.
2. When you go to print the document, use the option File -> print. Then click on preferences. Select the paper type "envelope".

To clean the print head from the control panel
1. Load letter, A4, or legal unused plain white paper into the input tray.
2. Touch Setup on the display.
3. Touch Tools.
4. Touch Clean Print Head.
The HP Photosmart cleans the print head and prints a page that you can recycle or
discard.

To clean the print head from the HP Photosmart Software
1. Load letter, A4, or legal unused plain white paper into the input tray.
2. In the HP Solution Center, click Settings, point to Print Settings, and then click
Printer Toolbox.
NOTE: You can also open the Printer Toolbox from the Print Properties dialog
box. In the Print Properties dialog box, click the Services tab, and then click
Service this device.
The Printer Toolbox appears.
3. Click the Device Services tab.
4. Click Clean the Print Head.
5. Follow the prompts until you are satisfied with the quality of the output, and then click
Done.
If print quality still seems poor after you clean the print head, try aligning the printer.
If print quality problems persist after cleaning and aligning, contact HP support.

Check your printer prefences, bordless option might be on.

I also contacted HP and they directed me to a workaround which I have not implemented yet!

I'm printing wedding invitation envelopes (or A6) and had to set both my C4480 and psc1315 to a regular size 8.5x11 letter size but changed my margins to reflect the smaller size for my envelope with the left side of the screen being the more narrow margin. After adjusting the top margin accordingly, I fed the envelopes, flap side down and straight into the printer and voila...envelope addresses are printed. Good luck. Blu

Did they suggest uninstalling it from device manager, completely and downloading the new vista driver fo your printer off the HP website??? and then installing this.
