Load envelopes
You can load one or more envelopes into the paper tray of your HP All-in-One. Do not
use shiny or embossed envelopes or envelopes that have clasps or windows.
Note For specific details on how to format text for printing on envelopes,
consult the help files in your word processing software. For best results,
consider using a label for the return address on envelopes.
To load envelopes
1. Remove all paper from the paper tray.
2. Insert one or more envelopes into the far right side of the paper tray with the
envelope flaps up and to the left. Slide the stack of envelopes forward until it stops.
Tip For more help on loading envelopes, refer to the diagram engraved
in the base of the paper tray.
3. Squeeze and hold the tab on the top of the paper-width guide, then slide the
paper-width guide inward against the stack of envelopes until it stops.
Do not overload the paper tray; make sure the stack of envelopes fits within the
paper tray and is no higher than the top of the paper-width guide.

I don't know how to put an envelope in to print it out.

Please follow the steps below on how to print on an envelope:
  • The print side of the envelope is faceup.
  • The paper guides rest against the edges of the envelopes.
printmastert_87.jpg
  • You print the envelopes with Landscape orientation. Note: If you are mailing within Japan, then the envelope can be printed in Portrait orientation with the stamp in the lower right corner or in Landscape orientation with the stamp in the lower left corner. If you are mailing internationally, then print in Landscape orientation with the stamp in the upper left corner.

  • You select the correct envelope size. Select the next biggest size if the exact envelope size is not listed, and set the left and right margins so your envelope is correctly positioned.
I hope this information has been helpful. Thanks.

Please teach me how to use my HPF4185 to print envelopes. Thanks.

Hi

Use the product software, also known as the printer driver, to change the print settings for your envelope size and type. Then, use the Envelopes and Labels tool in Microsoft Word to select your envelope size.

Step one: Adjust the print settings

-In Microsoft Word, click File , and then click Print .
-Make sure that your product is in the Name drop-down list box, and then click Properties .
-Click the Features tab, or the Paper/Quality tab.
-Select an envelope size from the Size drop-down list.
-If the required paper size is not in the drop-down list, follow these steps to create a custom paper size.
-Select Custom from the drop-down list.
-In the Custom Paper Size dialog box, type a name for the new custom size.
-In the Width and Height boxes, type the dimensions.
-Select the unit of measurement, and then click Save .
-Click OK to close the Custom Paper Size dialog box, and then click OK again to close the Properties dialog box.
NOTE: You must exit the Properties dialog box to apply your changes.
Open the Properties dialog box again, and select the new custom size from the Size drop-down list.
-Select the paper type.
-In the Paper Type or Type is drop down list, click More .
-Click the desired paper type, and then click OK .
-Select the paper source from the Paper Source drop-down list.
-Change any other settings, and then click OK to close the Properties dialog box.

Step two: Set the correct envelope size

-Set the correct envelope size in the Envelopes and Labels dialog box before printing envelopes.
-In Microsoft Word, click Tools , click Letters and Mailings , and then click Envelopes and Labels .
-In the Envelopes and Labels dialog box, click the Envelopes tab.
-Click Options .
-From the Envelope size drop-down list, select the required paper size. If you created a custom paper size, select the new custom paper size from the drop-down list.
-Click OK , and then click Close to close the Envelopes and Labels dialog box.
-Click File , and then click Print to print the envelope.
NOTE: When you finish printing the envelopes, return the paper size and the paper type settings to the defaults.

Riztech

Paper size mismatch for A9 envelope (5.75x8.75)

Set the envelope size in the printer properties paper size list to A5 (5.83 x 8.27) which is only .08 inches wider than the short side of an A9 envelope (5.75 inches). The paper size sensor on the HP6520 printer must not be sensitive enough to tell the difference. I can print A9 envelopes just fine using the A5 setting.

I am unable to print an address on an envelope.... it comes out blank

    Hello,

It sounds like to paper setting is wrong. In the configuration you can set if the envelope in on the right side, left side or center of the paper feed. If it is set one way and you feed the envelope the other way the printer will print but on the wrong end of the feed area so nothing will be on the envelope. Try this, print an address label as you would on the envelope but just use a full sheet of paper. If it prints where you can see it, then feed the envelope on that side, or change the feed settings in your software to print on the other side. Office and most other programs have this setting. In MS word the orientation setting is on the envelope and label screen on the right side of the pop up box.

I hope this helps, if so please rate my solution.
