There is a leak at the base.

It appears that we have water on the floor from the freezer door . I have moved the fridge to see if there was a leak from the water pipe but it was all good

SOURCE: F&P Active Smart E521TRE Removing freezer back panel

My fridge (E440T but I believe the E522B is similar) had a broken fan wire and i had to pull off the rear panel and re-solder a wire. I created a document for others to follow that shows the rear panel removal if interested at http://www.accentis.com.au/downloads/misc/How I fixed my Fisher and Paykel Fridge Active Smart Fridge.pdf

Thanks to all postings on this site - it really helped a lot.

SOURCE: Hi, I have a 12 year

what might be happening is that the drain hole for condensate is blocked causing water to gather beneath the crisper. look for a channel under the evaporator (the icy cold part) and there should be a drain hole some where near check this is not blocked.

Hi hope you can help, I have a 2 door fridge with a bottom draw freezer purchased new 2008 and I have lost the instructions. The prolem I need diagnosed is water leaking from the freezer draw. thanks.

Sounds to me like you have a leak, probably from an ice maker tubing connection or vinyl water supply tube itself. Have someone get a good flashlight and get a good closeup look at where the water is coming from. The water supply to the fridge's icemaker comes from the house wall, floor, or cabinet area of sink. Often they are connected to fridge, then someone moves the fridge to clean and the line gets run-over or tugged on too hard causing a leak. If that is cause, install a new line (hardware stores have these specific to ice makers, 1/4" vinyl or copper tubing) and it should be coiled several times in mid air near the wall, so if fridge is moved out it just uncoils not incurrs damage from un-noticed tension (full amount of water pressure in that little line).

2nd possibility for newer type fridge. All frost free fridges have a pan underneath that catches condensation from coils, from the pan the water evaporates into the air where balance is achieved and pan is never full. On rare occasions, like during moving, on some the pan isn't fastened down and can fall out of place, then condensation water from the coils falls to floor (not any great amount but some).

Water leaking on the floor from fridge

That might be a leaky water valve connection Or it could be bad door gaskets.

Kenmore fridge, 7 yrs old, freezer on top. Water sprays periodically from somewhere at top inside of refrigerator, apparently from downward pointing chute or holes on either side. This seems to be part of...

Removed inside rear and floor panels of freezer (ice machine also) as ably advised by your tech. Found ice damming he suspected underneath floor panel. Thawed overnight with pot of hot water in freezer. could see that small rear drain tube was iced shut; why all water going into fridge below. Avoided floor mess from thawing water flow to evaporation pan on floor by tilting unit forward on blocks and laying several old towels inside freezer door to catch water that would run out. Also placed some in front at base of unit on kitchen floor. Continuing to thaw pipe to unclog, it is iced some way down, again as tech said it might. Will reassemble and be careful with freezer setting, in case it may have been too cold. Also, some food crumbs had found their way behind panel near this drain tube and may have fallen in to block it. Will clean out any remaining.

Your evaporator drain pan under the fridge may be misplaced. If so, simply pull out the unit and place the pan back where it goes under your box. Hope this helps!
