Have you tried updating the firmware of your Zen V Plus? I've had mine for almost an year and haven't had these issues -- I updated the firmware as soon as I unpacked it.

Before returning the player, try downloading the
MP3 player recovery tool from Creative's website (the tool contains the latest firmware update available -- 1.15.03). Plug your ZV+ into your PC, run the program and let it update the firmware. Then format, reload your music and try it.

By the way, before updating the firmware, let the battery have a full charge, ok?

Not able to start windows normally the page keeps on toggling and a black screen appears n goes :(

On boot-up press the F8 button which would bring up a screen. Select Safe Mode and then press ENTER... on the next screen select the Operating system and press ENTER. The screen will scroll rapid fast upwards and stop at a point for a few seconds. Then the screen with windows will appear with SAFE MODE written on the four corners. It will also ask you whether you want to run windows in safe mode. Choose YES. Now click start --all programmes-assessories-system tools- restore point. From there choose a restore point where the system was working properly and continue with the prompts. The system will restore your sytem after it automatically restarts. Hope it solves,. Else load a fresh OS.

Stuck on "rebuilding" screen

This should help you right here: Detach the player from the PC and turn the unit off. Then slide the power switch towards the power icon and hold the switch. Push the end of a pin-like object (for example, a straightened paper clip) into the reset hole, press gently and remove. Release the power button when the recovery mode appears. Select format (all) and select yes to format the player. After the player has finished formatting, select reboot. Then retransfer the tracks to the player as doing the format will erase the whole player.

Zen Micro

Sounds like it may be the index in your Music Library. Try going into Recovery Mode; remove battery, hold power switch to ON, replace battery, release power switch when the Recovery Mode screen appears on the screen. Run Option 1 CleanUP, after it completes run Option 4 Restart. You will get a Rebuilding Library screen when it reboots, that's normal, then it should go back to your startup screen. Good luck and let us know what happened
