Zen Micro mp3 player is froze. When turning on the creative logo appears on the screen and freezes. When attempting to scandisk or clean up the player freezes. If I choose reboot, the player will freeze up with the creative logo in the screen. Not too happy with creative email tech support.

I am having the same problem. I have not used it in several months prior to this occuring. I have tried letting it charge for a few hours, but it only shows the logo and an unlit screen.

Sounds like it may be the index in your Music Library. Try going into Recovery Mode; remove battery, hold power switch to ON, replace battery, release power switch when the Recovery Mode screen appears on the screen. Run Option 1 CleanUP, after it completes run Option 4 Restart. You will get a Rebuilding Library screen when it reboots, that's normal, then it should go back to your startup screen. Good luck and let us know what happened

I tried what you said and it makes it to loading library, then it freezes. Then it says player not connected. It also said low battery a minute or two before. Should I let it charges a few more hours and then try this? I have had it charging for several hours before that.

Freezes on Logo

Odds are pretty good that the hard drive is messed up. This happened to me on 2 different zens. Can sent to Creative for repair, but if no warranty, then it would be easier to just buy a new one.

Zen Micro Photo...freezes at Creative Logo

The microdrive is bad. Unfortunately you now have a brick. Microdrives are pretty expensive; you're best bet it to buy another MP3 player.

Firmware not reloading

Take out the battery, press and hold the ON switch and reinsert the battery. Hold the ON switch until the recovery menu appears shortly after the Creative Logo disappears. Selection option 3, which is to reload the firmware. Keep in mind that doing so will delete everything on the player.
