Easiest fix might be that you have something tall that is up against the door and obstructs the soap dispenser from doing its job. Take a look at that first before tearing into it. Hope this helps ya.

Detergent is still full after 5 washings. I ran it through several cycles and purchased powder to run it and it still will not work

What? The soap lid won't open, or the soap won't dissolve? If the lid is opening, but the soap won't dissolve, then you're not getting proper water flow. Check your wash arms for clogged holes. The other thing to check is the sump area for a clogged food trap or clogged or broken chopper. You might be able to find a video on YouTube that shows you how to do this, otherwise, you should call a professional dishwasher repairman.

Soap leaves behind after wash cycle

Could be using too much soap, soap that's too old will clump and not dissolve completely. If your soap is clumpy and very dry, dissolve it completely with boiling water in a pan, then put it in the unit.

Dark clothes have lint left on them. what could help this problem?

Are you sure it is lint and not soap? My washer does this, and it looks like lint, but it is soap.
If it is lint, always keep the lint collector inside the agitator clean.

If it is soap, and this might work for lint:
1. Turn clothes, particularly black clothes, inside out.
2. Use a concentrated soap with little or no filler.
3. Use less soap than normal.
4. Fully dissolve soap before adding clothes.
5. Run rinse cycle again after completing full wash cycle.

Using powder 1/2 recommend amount. there is a continual build up of powder in the dispensing cavity behind drawer. how do I prevent this am having to clean with toothbrush daily

Hi

When you start a cycle, does the machine take a long time for it to fill up with water.

If so, you have a faulty inlet valve. There is a rubber diaphram inside the valve which tends to tear over time. When this happens the water just trickles in. Therefore the soap/powder is not dissolved into the tub thouroughly.

Some powders also dissolve less than others, and using the machine on hot water cycle helps to dissolve the soap faster.

Kenmore 80 series washer leaves soap residue on clothes no matter

After speaking with someone with trouble shooting experience in these matters, I now believe the problem lies NOT with the washer but with a bad batch of laundry detergent which fails to dissolve properly in the water.

Washer makes very loud noise during the spin cycle.

Sounds like you have bad bearings. If you use powder soap thats the problem. Powder soap doesnt dissolve all the way and gets into the bearings and eats them away. you will most likely have to have a service technician come out to replace them(Its not just bearings they sell you more than you need and you have to take everything apart... big job). After that use liquid soap.
