Lexmark x1270 all in one inkjet printer not communicating with my vista operating system. Can't print. What can I do to correct this. I bought new processor that came with Vista O S. Lexmark x1270 software disc when loaded shows incompatible with operating system message.

There are print drivers (Windows only) available for download in the Lexmark website. There are no drivers for Macintosh operating system. Printer is not compatible with Macintosh operating system. To download the software, just click on this link: http://bit.ly/9Xw7bN . Choose the correct driver compatible with your computer's operating system. Hope this helps.

search for printer driver updates for vista in google, type printer name model and what ever operating system you have on new pc, ex. hp 380c vista drivers update

what type of operating system are you using....his may vary with it. try checking for updates for a specific operating system

In the search by model box type in x1270 and click on search

Then where it says Select your operating system in the pull down menu choose windows Vista

It will show you the name of the file and then click on the download now button It will download the cjr1200EN.exe file.

Save it to a location that you will remember and then after the download double-click on the file and it will install the drivers and the software for your printer.

reconnect usb cable again.also check proper driver installed.

Vista uses a different driver. Here is Lexmark Support Page:

Enter your printer (X1270) and it will take you to the tech support page for your printer. Click "Download Driver". Next page select Vista as your operating system. Next page select "Download Now". It's a large file...40MB.

Save it on your desktop and when the download is done, double click the icon on your desktop to install.
