The icons on are large and I did not change the settings

The simplest try you can give is roll back to a previous restore point when the problem was not there and then repeat the procedure.

Go to control panel. Switch the view to large icons and then do to the DISPLAY one and open it and change your resolution to what ever you had it set at.

Are you in "SAFE MODE"? if not it only a display setting, it can be changed.

Yes, go into your computer's display settings and change the monitor over to 1024 by 768 for example. For windows XP go into control panel then display. Go to the Settings tab and slide bar over to a higher resolution. You will get smaller icons.

Probably you have selected wrong desktop theme,

• simply remove all all screensavers
• remove desktop wallpaper
• change theme to windows xp or windows standard
• additionally readjust the virtual memory settings

In changing the icons to normal, did you reset the screen resolution? If not, set the resolution lower, apply, then reset it back to the original (usually 1024x768), then apply.

hi, goto desktop properties, settings, advanced, there in general tab, change the DPI settings to Normal size(96 dpi) and click OK, and restart.

Many ways to change the size of objects on the screen exist. Use the Dell QuickSet tool to change the size of icons and toolbars. Additionally, use the Display item in Control Panel to change the font size or the dots-per-inch (DPI) setting. Changing the DPI setting changes the size of all items on the screen. If the screen resolution setting makes items too small, the DPI setting can be increased to compensate.
