Color lines and dark parts
I had a Toshiba Satellite and it developed the same colored lines problem. It will continue to deteriorate until you cant see any thing behind the lines. I found it to be a bad video card.
Problem is....the video card (in most if not all Toshiba's of those days) is integrated into the mother board and can not be replaced separately. You must replace the mother board to correct the video card problem. Due to the expense, I'd rather buy a new PC and have the data trans'd to the new PC.

Vertical lines in my laptop screen
There could be three different possibilities why you would get a line on your lcd display.
First, it could be a missing signal from the controller IC to LCD driver IC
Second it could be a defective LCD driver IC itself
Third it could be a dry contact in the tape carrier package ( TCP).
Attach an external monitor to your laptop and make it your primary display unit to see if you are still getting the lines if not its you TCP if you still get lines it will need to have either the LCD IC or the controller IC checked and possibly replaced.

I have a Toshiba Satellite
If you hav enot changed any software on the pc (like the drivers or new video software) the video controller may be bad an need replacement. If you are not familiar with doing it, try a repair shop, it may be more close to the cost of / or more expensive than replacing the laptop.

How to reset my dell
Do you have problems with a Dell inspiron or with a Toshiba Sattelite?
You'll have to use the CD/DVD that was shipped with your laptop.
Put it in your drive and boot up with it.
Some models have a recovery program and you'll have to burn the CD or DVD first.

My laptop keep shutdown by
Hi,
Try to take the battery out
*Remove main supply,
*Hold power button down for 30 secs,
*Put only power supply in, do not put battery in
*Turn laptop on
*Put the battery in.
If it works for you than its great else it is a hardware problem with your laptop. Your laptop turns off due to high heat. So, if the above solution doesn't work then take to a hardware shop.
Good Luck!
