Hi my 3yo fridge is not freezing the meat anymore and the fridge side is a little warm.I set the controls to colder side and could hear the motor or something in the back start and let run overnight but it just doesnt get cold enough to freeze the meat.I opened the back and cleaned/vacuumed the dirt from the coils but same thing.I also opened the inside of the fridge and noticed some ice or frost built up on the evaporator coils but not sure if its normal.Any otherpart I should check??Your suggestions would be much appreciated.Thanks.
Replaced the fan and the damn thing works like a charm....Thanks alot for all your suggestions. This is a cool site and you guys are doing a great great job! Keep up the good work!
It has a defrost problem which will not let it cool properly. On a frigidaire you can open the refrigerator side door and hit the light switch 4-5 times and that will put it into defrost. Take the panel off on the bottom back inside the freezer to expose the evaporator. Once you have put it into defrost see if the heater comes on. If it does then you have a bad defrost timer. If it doesn't start to defrost then the defrost thermostat is most likely the problem. It just clips onto the evaporator. May have to splice a new one in. It's possible the defrost heater itself is bad but not as common. Test it with and ohm meter for resistance. Any resistance means it's ok. If the heater is bad I would replace the defrost thermostat also. Would appreciate a solved rating for expert advice unless you have more questions. A step by step check out may require a live chat.

I had a look at it again last night ,with the evap coils visible plugged it in and noticed that the evap coils went cold rightaway and frost started to build up on it.I also noticed that the fan didnt move at all (not sure if normal).I took a voltmeter but measured 120v on the fan motor terminals.I will replace the motor and will post the result.Thanks..
I have a kelvinator cyclic 330 that doesnt get cold enough anymore. Can see ice forming on the back plate but the fridge as a whole not cold enough. Any ideas? Thermostat maybe?
